hey Amanda this is a crock of shoot...

Good point brademan.....but in an effort to teach my kids how the internet can have good things and bad things in so many different ways it is always nice to be able to refer them to sites that promote things that are important to me and my family and also reinforce values that have been taught them at home. This site happens to be one of those site that I continue to support and enjoy because of the atmosphere it promotes. If trying to support this site means trying to stand up for values that are important to me makes me a snowflake or less a hunter then so be it! I'm not butthurt, just interested in maintaining something that is important to me! Now if I ad give me a F'n break.....does that make my post more meaningful or less snowflake?? I have visited many other hunting sites that you can go visit and there is no "filter" right???

hey Amanda this is a crock of shoot...

True.....but if it was your camp that would be my problem. If you came into my camp using the language displayed on this thread I would ask you to leave camp! Without using vulgar language!! Having said that I would enjoy bumping into anybody on this forum out there in the woods to share a campfire discussion because we all love to hunt and hunting is what this website is all about even though we get tangled up in little spats over language, trail cams, flat brim hats, ATV's and like DB said.....the list gets bigger every day!!!

IMG_1589.JPG Exactly what I wanted my kid to find on a hunting website.......lots of other places to go find that junk and while I may be from Snowflake a snowflake I ain't! It really doesn't take much to respect what Amanda wants this site to be.......just sayin

    Record Channel Cat

Congrats to this guy for landing a big one!!! PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Game and Fish Department says a Flagstaff man has set an inland waters hook-and-line state record for channel catfish. They say Carson Pete caught a catfish that weighed more than 33 pounds Sunday evening at Upper Lake Mary in Flagstaff. The previous record was set in 1987 by a Sierra Vista man who caught a 32-pound, 4-ounce channel catfish at Parker Canyon Lake. Pete's record-setting fish was measured at 39 1/2 inches by the state Game and Fish Department in Flagstaff on Monday morning. The previous record catfish was 38 3/4 inches in length. Pete says he actually was targeting northern pike on Sunday. He also says his 7-year-old daughter predicted he was going to catch a big fish and how he has a picture to prove it.

    Record Channel Cat

Like I said, haven't fished it for long, long time, we did see people fishing all the time from the bank but always fished from a boat. Seemed like weeds were pretty thick from the bank but the guy who caught this cat was supposedly fishing in 2 feet of water at the weed line so!!!!

    Record Channel Cat

Many years ago(during my college days) a buddy of mine and I decided we were going to do some "night" cat fishing out on the lake in his boat! We thought we were prepared for summer time late night and froze our Aces off!!! For about three years we went out to Lake Mary after work evenings and consistently caught decent walleye and pike at Lake Mary during the summer months, always close by and great fishing memories!!!
