Honestly, not much. Two or three weeks w/around 1000 pics. Flash burns alot of energy. However, I love the camera, resolution and trigger time. I own three now as well as two moultree's. Prefer the bushnells. Easy to use. Wish there was a way to set it up solar!
  7. No, I killed a good buck in January. So hopefully he'll still be around in five months. I think he still has some growing to do anyways! I'll updat his pictures as I get them. Sorry, I messed replying to this please post your January buck. Couple busted points on the left but still a no-brainer!!

    two tags

I killed a deer in January w/my bow and appled for a fall tag so I could gift it to my daughter if she did not draw. I drew the tag and she drew her own. I have to forfeit the tag because I can't kill two deer. You won't commit a violation until you kill multiple deer! You could donate it to the HOAL.>>> Manny I already checked into that and plan to do it. Only problem, HOAL states that they need help in the field. I'll be with my daughter on her first hunt and don't want to jeopardize that. Maybe members on the forum that don't have hunts this year would be willing to take a less fortunate individual hunting. Sounds like a good opportunity to me. Didn't mean to thrash this thread but it came up!!!!!

    POT GARDENS IN THE FOREST

Its a shame that hunters are not more educated for safety sake! During the 2006 summer, the Gila County Narcotics Task force out of Payson erradicated 24 gardens. These were located in Gila County alone. Most common places were, Mazatzal wilderness, Boulder Mt. and Cherry Creek. Towards the end of the summer, one of the gardens located in Deer Creek resulted in a law enforcement envolved shooting. All grows eradicated that summer were linked to Mexican nationals with ties to violent gangs. Things to look for: Common black polly hose used for irrigation, fertilyzer bags, abandoned camps (usually trashed) and plants themselves. These grows are usually located around small springs (not many on main waterways anymore.) The gardens are usually tended to 24/7 by two to four individuals. They are usually armed, but luckily mostly with pellet guns. If you locate anything unusual, contact the Task Force at (928)474-0728.
  18. Not what I expected to see. Caught me off guard and hurt my stomach (good laugh)! Thanks for the post.

    Trail Cameras

Thanks for this statement!!! And geese, guys! If we keep up these ethical debates, before long the only legal and ethical method of taking an Arizona game animal will be a nude spot and stock and jump on the animals back like a darn lion! Otta make for one heck of a video though!!!

    36B Hassles

Tony, that may go back to your last question asking if it was pure stupidity??? To much sun on the ol brain on that fella. Anyways it's a major problem and I have made mention in several places reference this and the marijuana gardens that are being cultivated in our favorite whitetail haunts (SERIOUS HUNTER SAFETY)!! When I get a moment and figure out the new topic portion of this site, I'll post some good information for your guy's safety. Seth

    attractants

Not sure where your stand will be, but be careful if your on BLM land. I understand they have passed a law against baiting and will confiscate all cameras and stands in the area. The law was passed with the idea that increased salt deposits are killing the trees (HORSE HOCKIE). On USFS land your still good to go but depends on what animals you want to attract. The trophy rocks work good this time of year as they need the minerals for antler growth. Weird though, they almost stop using it immediately as the horns start to harden?????

    36B Hassles

These guys are not afraid of being deported. There's no penalty until they are caught for the third time. They are treated well and given a good meal then back with their family generally within 48 hours. Then have the nerve to try again (claiming a different name) generally seen in state a couple days after deportation. Obviously a serious probablem and is changing wildlife patterns throughout the state! Probably should have been on another thread, but peaked my interest just the same. -Seth

    coyotes?

Lots of dogs on the back side of Roosevelt lake. Take the A+Cross road from either end and hunt the small canyons leading back to the lake. Have had great luck there. Shoot a mess of em, their screwing up our wildlife populations!!!!!

    trouble sighting in..

Sir I have not yet read all the replies so this may have been covered. I helped build a 710 for my brother-in-law. He had the same problem with grouping. When I took a close look at the rifle I found that remington had not welded the recoil lug to the receiver on this model (DUMB DESIGN). The recoil lug fits into a dovetail groove on the receiver and a groove in the stock. This lug is crucial in tight grooping rifles and oftentimes the first troubleshooting check in a precision rifle. I placed lipstick on the lug and fired the rifle. The lug was not even meeting the stock, hence all the recoil was being absorbed by the two mounting screws. (INACCURATE AS H!@#.) I don't weld but did glassbed the lug to the stock for some stability. Made a huge diffenence in this rifle but bottom line, your not going to get minute of angle groups out of this remington design!!!! Hope this helps.
