Anyone that will be in 36B in October feel free to come by the Ajo camp. You cant miss it, it will be the biggest camp just south off the arivaca lake road.I will be in a 2004 lifted Z-71 chevy with a coueswhitetail sticker across my back window.

Thursday morning on the 27th i will be headed to 36B. I have all my equipment set up in the "staging area".....hahaha. the extra bedroom i should say. This is the best time of the year boys!!!!!.......woo hoo

Once again I will be around Ajo in the 40A/40B units. Every javelina I have ever killed has been in 40B with archery. But I think I will be going across the highway to 40A so I can chase some whitetails at the same time.

I forgot to mention we have a great 125gr load for the 300 ultra mag we cooked up. e mail me for the info if you want.

I have been shooting a 300 ultra mag for 5 years now. The first scope i had on it was a nikon buckmaster and it held up great, never lost its zero. I then put a simmons Aetec on it and it has also held up fantastic. Takes the recoil very well. I shot my last elk at 522 yards with that setup.

If anyone ever wants to venture out here to Ajo we have a shooting range that goes out to 500 yards. I am out there in teh mornings on my weekends off so if anyone wants to come down and shoot let me know.

Ok let me throw in something else here. I have found deer to be active especially after a good rain. Many times i have sat out a down pour and found deer to be very active right after. That why i always hopefoe rain during teh Oct. hunt. and also to cool things off a bit.

We used to have tortoises when i was growing up. Wouldnt mind having another one. I saw the info on the G&F website the other day.

They're the DEVIL!!!!! But they pooped in their own beds and now they have to lay in it.....hehehehe. Got to love states rights.......woo hoo

I will be heading down the 8th for some scouting. Look at some deer and hopefully come across a mtn lion in the process. The 300 ultra mag is getting restless in the locker......hahaha

Ok now this sounds like something worth trying out. I am going to make a salt like with granulated salt out here near where I hunt in Ajo. There are no other salt licks in the area, there are no cattle in that particular area, and hunters around here dont get that into usiong salt licks. I will place it near a travel route between their bedding and feeding areas. I will do this next weekend so if anyone has any other ideas for me let me know. Also the deer in question are mule deer so dont hang me to bad for that.....hahaha. The coues deer out here are to far out to do any real observing.

I told my pap and mam I was going to Arivaca to camp and hunt coues deer, acted like they was gut shot. they said son, take your tag go here, heres where the deers is. Them mountains is for smugglers and illegals! I said mother Gue, Arivaca is the marrow of the world, and by God I was right!!!! I cant wait to get down there again this year.......woo hoo!!!
