Did you ever sell the rifle? If not im interested
-
last year during the early hunt in 36B I was sitting glassing on opening morning and a coues doe came running down the ridge next to me. I watched her to see what was up and when she turned around I noticed she had a 10-12" gash on her neck and shoulder. And also some hair missing from claw marks. That deer could not catch its breath and was bleeding profusely. I debated whether or not to put her down because whe was obviously going to die in just a matter of time, but I decided against it. I think the right thing to do would have been to put her out of her misery faster than her injuries would have, but there is always someone watching that would have disagreed and turned me in, so I let her walk away.

I think we should make a special category for most misses/shots fired. What do you think Casey?......... I will make another donation to help cover shipping. -
"Big game" hunting
ajohunter replied to MARV's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
It takes a brave man to hunt such a dangerous beast like that with only a .22! I dont dare venture out unless im packing my 300 ultra mag! All kidding aside, its fun to hunt them wascally wabbits, especially with a 22 pistol. I wish I had more time to do it. Thanks for sharing the pic. -

That really sux bro! How old is the battery in it? Sometimes that is the problem. Hopefully its nothing major. If it is I will make you a smoking deal on my Leica 900. -
Since I was one of the lucky ones that appllied on line for the draw and will have to send in my money for my tags I called G & F yesterday. Since they need to recieve payment by July 27th she stated that they must have the results posted on or before July 17th since they are required to give those drawn at least 10 days to submit their payment. Hopefully I will have good news when I get home from Baltimore.

Oh you poor misguided people! Whenever a discussion comes up about ASU (the worlds greatest school on earth as endorsed by GOD himself) All of you UA fans always jump to talk about basketball. See you all at the College Baseball World Series!

The funniest thing about that whole incident is that the agent filmed it all with his own camera! It happened outside of Tucson. Haha!

Whack a Jack and Pack it Back

When i was scouting for my elk hunt in unit 8 in 2003 I chased jackrabbits with my bow. I was only able to kill 1. Those things are hard to hit! -
Ok how do I get to book these super pups and their owner to help me get a dang lion? These guys can find a lion anywhere it seems!....
-
4 guys that I hunt with got drawn for it. We have hunted that unit for elk every year.

Here are pics of my friends Ken and Larry from our Javelina hunting around Ajo. Both of them killed their pigs one week apart not just from the same herd but from the same bed as the one the week before.

No Elk or Antelope for me either. Was drawn for Bull in 8 back in 2003 so I figure its going to be awhile for me to get drawn for Elk again. Our group did fairly well this year though. 4 guys drew unit 8 rifle bull tags, 2 guys drew 22N rifle bull tags, and 1 guy has a 10 Antelope tag. Congratulations to all who got drawn! Now lets look forward to the next draw this summer!

I agree, tha Danner Pronghorn is an excellent boot. I have been using them for about 5 years now and they are still holding up great after many Elk, Deer, Antelope and Sheep hunts.

It started yesterday and continued today. I believe it should take them 3 to 4 days to complete the transactions. I spoke with the company that is doing the process and said they just started running cards yesterday. She said if the applicants card does not go through then they try to run it one more time the next day before the tag goes to the next person. So far our group is up to 5 bull tags and 2 antelope tags. Im to scared to check my account yet for any hits. -
That is a great shed! I love all the trash on antlers like that! I need to start posting pics of the ones I have picked up in 40A.

Hey Casey I forwarded your wish list to Santa Claus. It seems I have better luck getting tags from him than Game and Fish. Haha. Good Luck everybody! -
