Well since it is the midst of the javelina season I thought I would share this great "dumb" moment story. A few years ago while pig hunting in 40B my buddy arrowed a large sow. He hit it pretty good behind the shoulder so we went to the job of tracking it. As we made our way up the canyon we lost the blood trail. There was no way that pig could have gotten out of there without us seeing it so we kept looking. Well about an hour passed so we elected to come back in the morning. On the way out I realized i forgot my hat and went back for it. As i picked it up i noticed a small cave behind a bush in the wash. So I decided to take a look. Well what do you know but there is a dead pig in there! I call my buddy over just as i start crawling head first in there to grab it. Well I got stuck and couldnt move in or out. I told him to grab my legs and pull me out. Instead of pulling me out he grabbed my legs and crammed me further up the cave! Face first into a bloody javelina! After cussing him from inside the cave i told him i had it then he pulled me out. I asked him why he did that and he proceeded to tell me that since I was already in there i might as well get the pig out to!

As Jim found out his year sheep hunting is very addicting! Anyone on here draws a tag and needs another set of eyes just let me know!..... And just so you know, bighorns prefer to be looked at with Swarovskis over anything else!..

Yeah thats a fact. It seems all animals with horns or antlers look bigger from the back. As for sheep being stupid I disagree....lol....They are the only animal I know that can climb straight up a flat rock and look right through it to the other side!... These sheep out here are also smart in the fact they like to roam in places you would never expect to see them. The sheep in the pics were where nobody ever thinks to look for them. Except for us that is!..hehe!

Here is a look at the back of his head He scored right about 160. Right horn 34" Left horn 31"(slightly broomed) I will see if its ok for me to post the story on this hunt. Its a pretty amazing story!

Casey is about as hard core a coues hunter as i have seen! I got the chance to hunt with him and Azpacknhorns and some of his family in October. Although it was a short hunt for us all (1 day since we tagged out) it was great to go camping and hunting with them. I wish I could have gone on his Dec. hunt but work priorities wouldnt allow me to. I cant wait til the next time we all go again. I shot a deer through the back of the head once, busted a horn off too....but the taxidermist repaired it and you cant even tell it ever happened, Im sure that buck will look great on the wall!

I have a few dumb moments from the field but I will tell you about my latest one not 24 hours ago! As I was getting my bag packed last night for my shift that started this morning I was walking down my hallway and rolled my ankle and broke it! Went to the ER last night and got home at 5 in the morning. Needless to say the ER staff got a kick out of treating a firefighter....lol

I agree with CnS on the middle one. I dont think its offfensive at all, and it might actually be great advertising for the site when people ask about it! I would definately buy some!
