Bucks_N_Yotes

Thanks guys. It has been real interesting watching these deer over the past four months. I have watched their eating habits change as different things come available, and how they move about with the different stages of the crops that they eat. We had the pleasure of watching over 20 bucks in the area, watching them transform and grow almost every day. We didn't take the biggest bucks out here but they will be around for many more exciting hunts to come.

David, I must say it turned out great, we should try it on some yotes! Ben

+1 for harris! I have four of them, one bench rest, one solid, and two that are the swivel mounts which I think is a must have! I am 6'6 and I can sit on the ground and the scope is at the right hight so I am not hunched over the gun. I think its the 13.5 to 27" model. The swivel is great because you can be on rough uneven ground and still hold the gun level!

Sounds good! If their is an intrest in the far west valley, Buckeye area, I will be willing to setup a check-in. I am going to have to go for the Third weekend in Jan!

Checked Cameras today, All five still around, pulled three! One was messed with! It had pictures missing from the card! Notice the time difference between the doe and the lion! When I finish uploading the other cards I will add some more! Hope you enjoy!

What do you guys think of that buck in the 4th pic? Shoot? What kind of score do you think he will bring??

Its a blast watching how the bucks have grown in the past 5 weeks. I think that the lion is the same one that i posted a few weeks ago from a different water hole. This water hole is about 7 miles from the other. The only problem I am having with the cameras is the date and time get out of wack over the week!

Checked my cams on Sunday and look what I found!!

I set this camera last night and checked it this morning and had him on it! That morning I was watching a group of 6 bucks and he is about the middle of the bunch as far as size goes!

Checked the cams today, and had another one make it a good week without any people looking or stealing it! Had over 500 pics of just deer, a couple bobcats, coyotes and a friendly owl! These cameras are addicting!

I think but am not positive, last year it was around the 16th of Jan, and I think it should be around that again.

I was talking to the gf manager of region 4 and he said they stole a cud. cam, which our tax dollars/ tag fees bought, and the sad thing is that it was in a place that isn't to easy to access, with out clearance from BGM! I am going to pull mine tomarrow, hopfully they are still there! Don't forget Dove season opens next week, and those lovly hunters are going to be all over!

As far as the check in, where do the majority live, or should I say planning on hunting, or taking part of this. Late Jan/Feb works for me, but I think sometime in that time frame there is a multi-club hunt going on in the state.

How does $50.00 per team sound for an enty fee? or is that to high?

I think that it all sounds good. I think that its going to be hard to nail down a time that everyone doen't have a hunt. We are going to just have to do the best we can and go from there. I think a Friday night checkin or online sign up and then a final checkin on Sunday from 7-10pm would work great. I have done alot of club hunts over the last few years and its a blast. The point system sounds good, and it keeps it easy. Are we going to allow coons to be hunted at night or are we going to keep it normal shooting hours? I can help skin (tube is what i know) Anything we are missing??

So who is going to plan it?

This is all sounding good, but I don't like the idea of loosing a half of an animals point value because you split it in half, somtimes it happens! It sound like if we are looking at doing this as a fur hunt, so its probly going to be in Nov. to Jan.? If we are going to do this as a fur hunt, how bout the profit from the pelts go back to CW. Lets get this hammerd out soon so their is time to plan it. Now to find a partner...........

How did you know that it was in 34A?

I would love to do it, when it cools down a little! When are you thinking? Open all over the state, targeting units, north or south? Only Coues Whitetail, or do you want to make it big and get others involved?

Its really good, just remember to watch your back! I have had cats of both types come in, bear, coyotes and fox.
