  1. I was up their for the hunt on the last of October. Saw a few doe's and a few hundred hunters. Every spot that I spent countless hours scouting either had someone camping about 100' from the canyon edge, or I would sit down, start glassing and glass up about 10 others doing the same thing. One morning I saw about 25 antalope, and on the way back to camp had a huge toad of the mullie type jump out in front of me. We had a camp that was behind us and on Sat night, they were poping off rounds for a few hours, That was a buch of BS. Tough hunt, but had a great time. Didn't get to harvest anything, so I hope others had better Luck!

    EZ Ranch Cordes Junction, Az

I used to work with BLM as a firefighter, and in the off season I was detailed out to the survey dept. My first job was to help re-establish BLM/private property lines in the Agua Fria National Monument. Guess whose property was in tresspass on to BLM Land? EZ Ranch. I spent about a month at and around his ranch, He may well have about 2k acres, but let me tell you he didn't skip a beat on putting up the biggest fence he could. There were alot of inner pasture fences, and most of the time that we were there the Red Deer would all be hanging out by their shop!! I never saw the Boars, but then again, it was five years ago, and he really didn't want us around. Beautiful deer, and if they chase them up the hill on the NW corner, I would say that it would be amost fair chase. The buffalo that I saw where in smaller pens.
  10. Just wondering if any of you have been seeing lions out when you were scouting?I saw one this past weekend when I was out scouting around Camp Verde. I was about to take a shot at it when it vanished from my sight! Guess thats the way it goes some days.

    Coyote hunting

You should pick up Predator Xtreme! This months issue will help you change your thinking on passing on those cute little critters! If I remember, read the article on page 2 or 3 that is by Ralph Lermayer. I never pass on a chance to take out coyotes. I have seen like others what they can do first hand. Skining is a great idea as long as the pelt is good, Oct to Feb! If you need more info contact one of the couple Varmit Clubs in the state, Phoenix Varmit Callers Inc, and Arizona Predator Callers. I know theirs more clubs that I am not thinking of. Here are a few links to check out: http://www.predatorxtreme.com/index2.asp http://www.pvci.org/pvci/index.htm http://www.azpredatorcallers.com/ Any of those sites will be able in one way or another answer your questions and be able to help you out! 17. Carful with those Hankooks, I have been threw 10 tires in the past 4 years with my F350, and all were hankook FR04s I think. They don't hold up very well. Lots of punctures, seams spliting and they seem to be more prone to cupping! I will not be buying a nother set of those. I put Terra Dune Grapplers on my 04 Dodge Ram and they have been doing great. I put about 200 miles on them a day on and off road. They handle well in the mud so far and as much driving I do in the fields and washboard roads, they are great! 285-R70 run about 220 a peace!

    Illegals

I was calling yotes neer Gila Bend, and had about 20 of them come out of the pushes to see what was going on. I couldn't tell which one was the coyote, so I didn't shoot I have come across huge piles of bikes that they ride from Mexico, and stash out in the desert. Good luck with calling BP! I can't tell you the number of times that I have called them and never saw a single person come to pick them up. Last year, I was heading out to make a stand in my friends Yukon, which was riding on those nice 20's and I had BP chase me down and pull me over. I looked to the south and his partner was about a quarter mile away doing brodies in the desert, throwing a rooster tail of dirt and dust a mile high! You should have seen the guys face when he came up to my buddys car and saw a few ARs on the seat and he couldn't get his partner on the radio. After we told him we were out hunting yotes and started asking about his partner who was still tearing up some ground he told us to have a nice day!!!!!!!

    Mullies in 39

I have been puting in for mule deer for the past six years in 39 and never got drawn. Our farm is in unit 39 and their is quite a hurd of deer. The problem we are having out in the area is that people (mexicans) that work in the area, are killing them left and right, and we havn't been able to catch them in the act. I don't bow hunt, yet, but there are 4 really nice bucks that are regulars in the fields in the morning and evening. There are 3 good sized hurds of atleast 30 plus that G&F for some reason can never get on survey. I would like to see if any of you would be intrested in hunting these mullies. There is one huge 4x5, 2 4x4s and one 3x3. all four of those deer have really nice racks and stout bodies. I have been drooling over them for the past few years! I would much rather a fellow hunter be able to take the deer not a bunch of poaching corn holes!

    Mullies in 39

I am not about to give out this info to just anybody. I have worked hard the past 6 years on getting lot of my fellow farmers land available to hunt. We have watched the deer hurds grow over the years and just hearing that they are being poached is very upseting. We run a tight ship and over the last 4 years we have been working with G&F and their Ranch Access program. It has really weeded out the rift raft and make some great friendships. After my sixth year of not getting drawn I tryed my luck elsewhere and got luckey this year. Who ever asked about the coyotes, there are alot of them out and about, but most of them are going to be very challanging. I havn't been drawn in six years so you do the math! Thanks to those that have responded. If you just joind looking for a quick idea, your looking in the wrong spot!!!!!!! Ben
