Unsure where to put this, but looking for good (non store bought) tamales. Anyone know of a good source in the Chandler/Gilbert area? Thanks

    WTB - Tamales

For those interested I picked up mine at Hunt hwy and Thompson Rd across from the circle K. Almost like a portable market out there with people selling all sorts of things. Unsure how often she's there - I didn't think to ask.

    WTB - Tamales

I have great respect for those who take the time to make them. What aggravates me is buying them only to get masa tamales with very little meat filling. There's a delicate balance and I know it's subjective but I do like a bite of meat with the masa. What I bought yesterday was a nice balance and I'm happy with them. Might have to try my hand making them again since I should be off work this coming week and it will give me something to do.

    WTB - Tamales

Some may, but I choose not to. Anyway I found some for $27/dozen that are pretty darned good. Mixed beef and pork with red sauce. Low Medium heat level. Lived thru the night after eating 2 so I guess they're safe 😎

I can't see paying $5 each either. I understand the work that goes into them and the cost of ingredients have risen but I don't like them that much. No offense to anyone

I've done it. Turned out not so good and as mentioned a metric ton of work. But man, $5 each seems steep. I've never seen the tamale shop that someone mentioned. My crappy googlefu shows Cave Creek??

I've had them with olives before. Was a surprise and darned near a broken tooth. Now I know to bite softly.

dang! They're that much these days? Heck I used to buy them from a couple up in Heber for $15 a dozen, but that's been 6 years ago or so. Had no idea they went up that much. But they're a ton of work to make, and I do love me some good ones. Looks like I'll have to beat the streets.

    WTB - Remington 1100

Looking for an 1100 model in good shooting shape, doesn't have to be a safe queen. Would prefer a 20 gauge over a 12, but either one would be of interest, or a pair. Pm or reply here. Cash purchase or trade a Winchester mdl 70 featherwight 270 WSM in good condition (safe scars). with a low round count (I'm guessing less than 50). Thanks

2024 GMC 1500 factory floor mats

  16. I've had this for a couple of years now. Works well enough, but I'm no expert. It has a cabinet that it sit upon, with various spools of media of various quantities. No, I'll not explain how to make it work - you can download a manual and figure it out as I did. I made a bunch of useless stuff just messing around and it was a fun little hobby for a bit. Now It needs to go. I'd prefer it go to someone who wants to teach their kids a bit about it, or someone who has nothing else better to do than try something new. It works find for what it is. No - the books and other crap on it do not convey )). A whopping $50 or free. Don't care. Just would like it out of my home office. SE Chandler.

    Acoustic Guitar amplifier

Another thing I need to get out of my office, since I don't play guitar much anymore. A Behringer AXC1000 acoustic guitar amp with pedals. Works and sounds great and will include the Behringer FS114 foot pedal. Stock photo from a used one at guitar center somewhere. $125 or trade for 22WMR, 22LR, or 12 gauge shotgun shells. Must pick up. SE Chandler area.

  21. My gas water heater is approaching retirement, and I'm considering having it replaced with a new style heat pump water heater. WIth SRP and Federal rebates (subject to energy star ratings and installation by "approved" people) the cost appears to be roughly on par with a regular gas heater. Would appreciate any insight from anyone who has done this as well as a good plumber to do the work. One caveat is that I'm unsure of the electrical requirement (breaker size etc.) which will likely need to be checked first. Thanks in advance

Water heater heat pump installer - Plumber recomendation?

I had someone come out and give me a quote, followed by another company who also gave a quote. NFW - can't afford it and would never get any return on the "investment". I know things have become more expensive, but dang!

    WTB - Remington 1100

I'm sure this is common knowledge here, but I've received several PM's about this available in Georgia, and in Texas by "members" who have a 0 post count. Be careful. But I'm still interested if anyone real has one in the AZ area. Thanks!

    ....

Great Caliber. I recently gave my nephew a pristine Ruger #1 in this caliber, as I don't get out shooting much anymore. I don't think that had 5 rounds through it. Kind of regret giving it away, but he will use it. GLWS
