    WITHDRAWN: RUGER #1 50th ANNEVERSARY EDITION in 45-70 N.I.B.

I personally have only seen a few and I don't believe the person handing them off to me knew what they had. That said, when dealing with this amount of cash/number of bills from people I don't know, I'd want to have the odds in my favor.
  3. Another from my Uncle's estate. It appears to have never been fired (almost all of his weapons have not been). I tried to get a pic of the bore and even as dusty as it is, it is shiny all the way down to and including the breech plug. No evidence of the lock or surrounding wood having been subjected to firing. It has a removable choke tube marked as improved, I don't have any others. Face to face sale only, won't send out of state. $280.00

I think she is wearing the ribbon for "meritorious service in taking out a Klingon battlecruiser". The others are for up leveling in Space Invaders.

  14. Looking for recommendations for vendors of pure lead. Has to be pure because it will be used with black powder guns.

    SOLD- .303 British 40 rounds

Two boxes of .303 for $40.00 as long as I don't have to go far to deliver it. Current price as far as I can tell is around $1.57 to $3.00 per round.
  17. From what I am calling my late Uncle's "ammo dump". Clearing out an incredible amount of different calibers of ammo. I am asking for $280.00 for 625 rounds (that's just shy of 45 cents per round). Last I checked, current price per round was 70 to .90 cents. Grab it while I have it.
  18. I am looking for a "Hawken" rifle to replace all my others, I just want to have one. So, I want the Pedersoli but don't have an extra kidney laying around to get the money for it. I have had cheap Spanish guns that actually were quite good for what they are/were, one is 35 years old and has been shot many hundreds of times and still a good rifle. I am thinking a T/C might be a meeting point between higher quality and affordability. What I am looking for here is advise on decent and affordable "Hawken" rifles and your experiences. Additionally, information on any weak points on the T/C would be helpful. My appreciation in advance.

    My last "Hawken" rifle acquisition.

Gotta do that. Couple decades ago my Uncle somehow forgot the ramrod for the only BP gun we took on that trip. Not much decent ramrod wood in the forests around Flagstaff. Eventually found a dead blue spruce and fashoned a couple rods. I say a couple because we would only get a few shots before they broke. Forgetting the little cannon balls is understandable, but a ramrod?
  20. I recently bought this rifle and took it out for the first time. I am using .490 rb's and a 0.02 thick pre lubed patch. With that combo I could not get the ball started no matter what. I've been shooting BP all my adult life and am familiar with what goes into loading them. That said, I need some suggestions on what to do. I'm sure someone else has had to deal with it. I've never had to use a 0.01 patch before, do they even exist? Or do I need to find a 0.485 rb? Any productive input is appreciated.

    Where Am I?

I was thinking of the high desert of California. Looks like a cool ghost town to check out.
