Looks like a great buck. Hopefully he doesn’t move exclusively at night lol. Good luck. When does your hunt start?

Nice. Well, hope it all works out!!

Desert Muley can be tough at times . Have you been committed to only one place during the entirety of your scouting?

The deer are probably all right off main roads out in the open😂

Beautiful! Congrats

Depending on where your at, the hunting pressure is starting to get heavier so they are wising up. Like everyone else said, flats and canyons or thick cuts would be my guess. The joys of deer hunting.

Definitely a lot less birds. Did it seem to you that the birds were smarter than usual for early season? Where we were they were acting like late season birds. Possibly it has something to do with atv’s running through the area.

Went out a couple times, the opener was very windy and it was a tough hunt. the second time we went we saw quite a few birds, but it was nothing like last year. The birds seemed to act more like late season birds than usual.

First timer - Unit 30B early December hunt

Main tips which I’m sure you already know. Glass and Scout! It’s a big unit so try to scout at least a couple times before the hunt and go early for your hunt to get extra scouting in if possible. Don’t stretch yourself thin and try to cover all over the unit. Pick like 3 areas and spend time checking it out. Look for track, droppings, check water, (the basics) There are resources from game and fish and other websites that give good starting areas to find deer, so make sure to check that out. Be prepared to spend a lot of time glassing. Be patient with it. . Use a grid pattern in glassing hillsides. Make sure you’re not on private land. Be prepared to hike and get into some rugged country. Azgfd will tell you to check out the Mule mtns near Bisbee . That may be a place to start Bring help. To glass and hopefully to help you pack our your buck. Bunch of random tips and info , good luck on your hunt -
I was in the process of writing out places for you to check out and then I realized it was all 7w! Anyways 7e is pretty solid, and has good elk numbers. I’d stay closer to the 180 rather than go Far East on the unit. But that’s just because I’m more familiar with that area. Elk are all around the area. A lot of pressure through archery deer and early elk. But seems to be more road hunters than anything. Anyways...check our white horse area and deadman wash area Or north of there. Also like someone mentioned early around the Nordic camp area off the 180. Just keep doing what your doing, Elk are all in there. Put Time in the field and you’ll find them.
