Does Someone in Hollywood actually get it?
ac guy replied to scoutm's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
He will work again. He's one of the few "actors " in Hollywood. -
24b either WT or mulie. WT is a 100% draw, mulie about 60%, and there's plenty of both. Mulies can be found 20 min from your house , WT about 60 min away.

23 and 20c have the ADA youth camps, 23 has the better hunting of the 2

Pass on the first, shoot the second on the last day.

The Claw: First time test Impressive.
ac guy replied to bobbyo's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I'm not big on giving crap for how guys hunt, but where does this end? I find a good boulder to lay my gun on, and it doesn't move at all. Pretty soon we will set our guns into a contraption with a computer, which zeroes in on an animal, and fires a round after we push a button. Our fathers hunted with no fancy camo, glass, or electronics. Are we getting better, or worse? -
I don't put in for WT anymore. There's plenty of tags left over, since nobody wants them. I put in for mulies, more of a challenge.

All your points are valid except abortion. I don't know of any pro lifers who would have their daughter's child killed. And as far as tax cheats, god bless em LOL

Quail or pigeons
ac guy replied to deserthntr's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Pratt's in Glendale has pigeons. I would be cautious of quail, they can be quite fragile. -
. Gobblers instictivly gobble to attract hens to them, it's not natural for the gobblers to seek out a hen. And no, it's no easier. Most animals get a case of the dumbass when chasing tail , humans not excluded.

that is awesome!!! Congrats to both of you.

Spring turkey hunting is up there with anything else IMO. Trying to outwit a bird to do what is unnatural takes some skill and smarts. No easier than a dumb bull or buck during the rut.

I don't think success rates have anything to do with it. Coues get pretty stupid as well during the rut. Look at all the 60% success hunts in Dec

I completely agree. This is not a gimme hunt for the kids. I don't think they'll put a dent in the flock. My boy had a lot of fun last weekend, I hope they do it again next year.

WHO AM I....... I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was born in another country. I was not his only child. He fathered several children with numerous women. I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me. My mother died at an early age from cancer. Later in life, questions arose over my real name. My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate. I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs & didn't follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny. I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them. That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my life and I embarked on a new career. I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child. I became active in local politics in my 30's then with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40s. They said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything. That reinforced my conceit. I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks. I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances. This bolstered my ego. At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy. I was very critical of my country in the last war and seized every opportunity to bash my country. But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country's economy. I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better and every poor person would be fed & housed for free. I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess. It was the free market, banks & corporations. I decided to start making citizens hate them and if they were envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight. I called mine "A People's Campaign" and that sounded good to all people. I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics & was able to gain widespread popular support. I knew that, if I merely offered the people 'hope' , together we could change our country and the world. So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include "persecuted minorities". My true views were not widely known & I needed to keep them unknown, until after I became my nation's leader. I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply read my writings and examined those people I associated with. I'm glad they didn't. Then I became one of the most powerful men in the world. And then the world learned the truth. Who Am I? Scroll down ADOLF HITLER WHO WERE YOU THINKING OF? Scary isn't it?

I've always used an owl, but you guys got me thinkin about stopping by and picking up a peacock. I watched a show once where they were hunting near the Mississippi, and used an air horn for a locater. Damnedest thing I ever saw.

Go up to the youth turkey camp next weekend and lend a hand. It's in the heart of 23 elk territory. You could help with the camp chores, get some elk info from the people there, and take some time to ride around getting familiar with the area. It would be a win win for you and the people running the camp.

I think too many people sit at home with foil on their heads.

I can definitely help set up on Friday, maybe help on Sat. How bout we trade some labor for a discounted t-shirt? The one I bought at ISE was stolen before I left the building that day.

It's not expiring immediately, there is no funding for it in the current budget, meaning their funds will end 9/30/09. Today, the system was down, not sure if it's a coincidence or not.
