The bottom target is a 5 shot string with 4 of the 5 touching and the 5th is the one that is just left about 1/2 or 1/4 inch away I didn't move the scope as I was just looking for groups the hits on the bottom of the target were a different string the gun didn't like it was around 2 plus inches in the right corner then I went to the next batch shot the center on the bottom target.I figured it was good as all the shots but 1 that is just high left are on the same horizontal plane.the load is at barns max for r15 at 42.5 gr and no pressure signs I was thinking the top target with the 3 shot string in the right bottom could use some work that was r17 at 45.6 gr and I think it might get a little better with more powder .I'm going to see if I can get my buddies Cronograph it requires a trip to the west side of town if the freeways are open

Did a little digging and barns made the bullets for Remington you might look at barns and see if there 50 cal 250 gr is the same just green tips and sabot not blue like the barns package.they should be a little easier to track down.

The first pic is in the correct orientation the bottom is not I haven't figured out how to rotate the view but the numbers go towards the top so you would need to rotate the view clockwise so the string is horizontal and the one flyer is up and left I pulled that one and new it .

Anyone have any experience with them and are they worth it.I'm going pig hunting with my dad in California in a couple weeks and thought it might be nice to catch some of the trip on camera.

Now that I've got two different loads that show good results should I run another batch of say 15 each and shoot 3 strings before I settle on a load ?second is does anybody on the east end of town have a chronograph I could run them thru .

Camofire has muzzleloaders on there sale today.I don't know how long they will last but they've been hard to get.

Are you running factory break ?if so there are known issues with it .that's why I went with the anarchy.here are some pics of stock break issues the anarchy is a radial type

For anyone looking at the paramount or the pro anarchy outdoors makes a radial break for them and they work great.I was out today with my pro and running 112 gr by weight of bh 209 and its about like a 243.

Good day at the range found two good shooting loads r17 45.6 gr and col of 3.163 barns ttsx .bottom right corner of target .next is r15 42.5 gr 3.165 col. Barns tsx .absolutely did not like the Hornady gmx. I pulled the last shot and opened up the string .the gun seems to have liked all the changes .

In need of a sleeve of large rifle primers for my muzzleloader just need 100 willing to trade federal 215 mag primers or federal 205 small rifle straight across or will by if needed I'm located in gilbert

First day off in a long time tomorrow so headed to the range early this time and we'll see how it turns out .it should be a lot cooler than the last run at 2 in the afternoon in the heat 5 weeks till I'm headed to California to hunt with dad

Do you target the predator population more to help the numbers of deer?I 've hunted Colorado mostly for elk and in some units the have a antler requirement and in other areas you can get eathier sex tags .I wonder if a antler requirement would work here .not sure about what size tho some places use this method I think the deer has to have antlers wider than there ears and so many points.it would give the younger deer a chance to get some age and really help the breeding.

Great looking bull congratulations.the woman shooting better thing is probably true for some odd reason.my friends wife was the same way never shot a gun till two years ago .she got drawn for elk and he realized he didn't have a rifle .she shot a few of mine from 243 up to 30-06 and for never even holding a gun to not one shot outa the red center all day.it can't be luck.again great bull and congrats

Just looked it up and they say a lion kills every 6 to 12 days .that's close to 100 deer if we go by your 1 lost doe is like 3 lost deer those numbers add up quickly 1 lion 300 potential deer .that's crazy I wouldn't have thought 1 cat would do that much .

It seems we are kinda in a bad spot on the tag reduction end because if you cut tags it would lead to less revenue and that would lead to less improvements .the only way to cut tags and still hold the same revenues would be to increase tag cost and that might lead to pricing people out of hunting.I did like the predator point idea but like all things we still need some predators in the mix.it looks like at the very least its got people thinking my thinking may not fit for this environment but there have been several good ideas.some have said I'm just trying to get someone to agree with me and that's not the case the point was to get opinions and thoughts and make people think about some solutions and some have.

Like others have said buy the biggest you can .I've got a liberty and a different brand not sure the make but one is a 48 gun and holds much less especially if you have scopes.

I'm just looking for different solutions to help the deer out.this was one that came up .I absolutely believe we need to do something and like many ideas that were brought up about mandatory reporting there was one about antler size restrictions to help with age class that would give young bucks time to breed.cutting the otc tags for non rez hunters and rez hunters came up and also just cutting the tags for awhile would bring up the numbers. Most hunters are on board with some or all of these things.no matter what some will only complain about not getting tags and such but if we don't look for things to help the problem it won't go away.fish and game's approach is from a dollar standpoint with all the crazy numbers of tags in some units and the stacked hunts one on top of the other .if we don't come up with solutions we won't have any deer to hunt .
