Crazymonkey replied to Presmyk's topic in Classified Ads
There was a post for some here a while back 2 boxes for 30 bucks on the west side of town . -
Boy I screwed the pooch on the math big time. Sorry about that I forgot it was one fee per app and only 6 available tags.no complaints from me.hopefully the extra $$$ goes to habitat or something to improve water sources lots are in need of repairs. Idiots cutting hoses and shooting the shoot outa the tanks

At 13 bucks for residents and 8 tags if everyone put in for all hunts 22000 apps its 2,288,000. Not counting the few extra bucks for non rez .not a bad haul !!! Lets hope it goes to habitat development or water catchment development.

To the top .for those Westside members that are not willing to make the drive to Gilbert or mesa to pick up .I'm available most every weekend in Phoenix off i10 and 32st working and if given enough notice I can bring shells and meet near there.

Update I found a skb single rifle hard case in the closet that will go with the rifle package and will be an upgrade to a soft case.

As some of you might know I'm planning on giving a sporterized 1903 springfield 30-06 away to a young person to promote youth hunting several members are helping me with this and before I put this out I'd like to see if I can mention cwt on some flyers hopefully to put in some of the local sportsmans and for those to post on other forums .for obvious reasons the gun must be transferred to a legal parent and will come ready to hunt with new scope and ammo also in a soft case with a trigger lock .can some one steer me to the person I need to get permission from .thanks chris
-
I'm looking into one also .looking at doing a trust .question is do you put up all the money up front or do they collect when your paperwork is approved? I get paying the cost of the trust and maybe the stamp upfront. But do they collect for everything at once.I'm trying to convince the wife I need one for Christmas.

I'd like to thank everyone who is helping .I can't wait to see some young hunter putting this gun to use.flatlander is going to pick the rifle up and bring it to axis works for the break and recoil pad . to all that have offered donations once we have a total we can figure it out .you guys are awesome!!! Thanks chris

Anyone see the one on roadkill? Small block chevy power. Absolutely cool old jeeptwo thumbs up
-
I have it .usually the person who drops a gun off is the only one who can pick it up .I can give it to you if your willing to take it over and pick it up .I'm in Gilbert. Power and ray. Pm me if your willing and ill have it ready . thanks Chris

Just an update I've spoke with axis works and they should be able to do the work .I still need to get the gun over to them to have a look for sure but I'm down a car this week hopefully I get my truck back thurs or Friday so ill bring it in for them to have a look on Monday and see what the say.
-
My work schedule sucks and currently does not give me much free time to dedicate the time needed for that but I feel we as hunters should do all we can to get or help put kids in the woods .the next generation is all about u tube and tic tok and if we don't get them outdoors we stand to loose hunting in general as there will be no interest .it sucks but we all are getting older and we need the next gen to carry on the hunting lifestyle.
-
Good idea ill see if axis can do that at the same time.I didn't realize it still had the hard plastic.
-
Once I get in touch with axis works and get a count of all who are willing to help I will pm everyone with the details .thanks again chris
-
Thank you ill keep in touch when I get it all figured out with a gunsmith. Chris
-
Please let me know if your interested in the muzzleloader as you have first right of refusal and I have another member that is interested.I can hold the gun till the end of the week then ill move forward with the other party .thanks chris
-
Thanks for the offer Kent I've already mounted a new vortex vanquish 4x12x40 scope on the gun .its a basic scope but should work for our youth out to a few hundred yards .I'm going to call axis works today and see what a break will run .all I need is a few bucks to cover the cost of the break .once its done it will go up and be posted it will come with the scope and ammo in a soft case ready to go.

It is truly a beautiful gun and I had thought of keeping it but I'd like to see one of our youth have a piece of history to hunt with .the breaks are loud but will help keep them on target and not be afraid of the recoil
-
You know me I've got a few guns and a backup plan as well I've got a 243 and 1 or 2 more like 4 or 5 30-06 in the safe .one is a winchester ranger with a break and scope I use as a loaner gun for friends with kids.
-
Thank you for the offer .the gun is beautifully blued and if I can I'd like to retain the look .ill call axis works and see what they think.
