Warranty is a good thing .It saved my but on a new starter and a few other items on my defender. The service plan is kinda a joke its just real expensive oil changes as they don't cover much .They wouldn't even cover the air filter its that bad .So if you can change the oil yourself save your money.

There were 176822 apps for 217839 hunters per f@g web.
-
Heard they are for the youth hunts if you bring in your tag .My buddy had to get a tag replacement for his granddaughters hunt and they asked what caliber she was shooting and hooked him up with some.

I've got a 300 win and run 168 barns. The copper bullets are longer and usually you can get away with one weight bullet lower than a lead core to get about the same results.IF I run standard bullets in the gun it likes 180gr bullets and 175 gr and 168 gr copper .I loaded some 175 and got them to hot and recked some brass but they shot great .I need to come down on powder and then they will be good .

Sounds like they might hold true to the 90 day commitment to get the paperwork processed. That would give me about a month or so to get mine .Did e file mid Feb.
-
At 100 I'd use eathier. They would work .I'd probably run barns copper or hammer bullets .The copper will penetrate deep and usually hold weight better .No jacket to separate. If you guys have your heart set on old school lever iron sighted 45-70 shoot me a pm I could help with that.

5 days away from finding out who the winners are!!! Yes I said winners there will be three.Check back Thursdays morning I'll try and have the draw up around 8 or so.

The difference is being educated in the things you wish to change.I can absolutely read and your post clearly states the use of 700 yd smokeless muzzleloaders and if you read the regs they can't be used in a muzzleloader season.I've hunted in states that have primitive only regs and no scopes. It leads to a lot of poorly shot animals that suffer needlessly for lack of good shot placement most are due to pushing iron sights to far.Its about good clean ethical kills and if a scoped muzzleloader will do the job better than iron sighted so be it. A 1x scope is not much better than iron sights at a hundred yds. There are very few muzzleloaders in the woods during the muzzleloader hunts that will make shots past 300 or so yards and even fewer people that are capable.Remember everything we use to hunt gives us an advantage and we still come home empty sometimes.
-
Someone had a great idea on here a little while back and it went like every other year go primitive only .And I'd be fine hunting that .I do have iron sights on two muzzleloader and one runs a precussion cap .The point is everything is an advantage and to say otherwise just isn't true.If f@g ever went primitive I'd be in .One more season to hunt and probably not that many people will put in.
-
There is no smokeless muzzleloader season in this state read the regs .Must be black powder or black powder substitute only and we do not have a primitive hunting season. You guys piss me off with this crap .Everything you or I do when we hunt gives us an advantage period. If you think there is an advantage maybe you should try hunting w/o your binos ,maps, camo, tents, sxs, gun, bow, and so on .Get real everything gives us an advantage .I hunt with everything from a bow to a muzzleloader so that I have some insight into what it takes to do so.So if you choose to hunt rifle maybe you should only get 1 bullet and you must assemble it to hunt .Or only get 1 arrow no sights ,1 shotgun shell, and so on .This is a hunting site driven by hunters and to hear fellow hunters cry about some sort of unfair advantage is a joke .
-
When and if they do go to a different rule for muzzleloader hunts I hope they take away your scoped rifle, bow sight, rangefinder, binos, spotting scopes, and anything you might use to hunt with.Remember just because you perceive there to be an advantage there may not be and if you start in on one side and take from them it won't be long before those you say had a unfair advantage claim the same about how you choose to hunt.

-
He's a great cook and has a toyhauler .So I don't have to pull my trailer up then pull the sxs up.

All my buddy's and there kid's didn't get drawn this year.Usually if I don't get a tag I still plan on helping and have helped on just about every hunt from the youth to the muzzy hunts but I've got a months worth of vacation and with my long days usually around 60 hrs for a short week and 82 for a full week I could use a break.I still plan on deer and turkey but why not ? It may suck it may not eathier way its time away and if I can get my dad to come its a bonus as we get older I don't know how many more trips are left.

2 questions about suppresors and trigger pull
Crazymonkey replied to maximus's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
My ar15 is at 1.2# the ar10 is 2# and the rest from 6.5 thru 338 are from 8oz to 3# depending on rifle and caliber. Most in the 3# range are waiting for triggers to get them into the 1 to 2# range. -
Put in for a leftover 4b tag .No points to loose as we were drawn last year so no big deal and a bad day in the woods is still way better than a good day at work .Besides I can do some antalope scouting for the tag I hope to draw before I die or have 30 years of points .

A good quad or sxs is recommended for 6a or just a truck you don't give a crap if you bang it up some spots are difficult to get to after the fires that went thru .There are several places that require some tight squeezes and the spots don't have to be overly hard to get to .I've got a video I posted stuck between cows and cows and can tell you that spot is along a trail that people will pass up .Myself and several friends have taken some good bulls off it and my dads muzzleloader bull a 6x7 was taken less than 2 miles from there .My family and I usually will be up camping in April or May and a few hours in the sxs will give you a good start .my muzzleloader bull elk.I've tried 3 times to rotate pic and it comes out the same

Looking for donations to put a muzzlebreak on a 1903 springfield 30-06 I plan to donate to our youth for the next year .My plan was to have our youth submit a what hunting means to me .and have a majority thumbs up vote and the winner will receive the gun .I've already installed a new vortex scope but could use some help to cover cost of a break to make it more comfortable to shoot.also a good Smith to do the work as Phoenix custom rifles can't do blue finish.here is a pic of the rifle I'm donating.thanks chris I added some new current pics!!!
