Yep they have a limit on powder but no limit on black powder. So someone could buy it all . I try to only keep 2 containers for myself and usually have one or two on hand for those hunters in need and offer them for what I paid at the time . If there wasn't a run on it every time it hit the shelves the prices might stabilize and not be so high.

Thanks to the group of hunters working the ridge next to us . I was able to take this pig at less than 20 feet. We were working one side of the draw and they were on another every so often id glass up to see what they were doing and saw them guns out and went back to looking down our side . I just happened to look back up and saw them frantically waving and pointing. I picked up my 7-08 and worked down less than 10 feet and there they were . A big sow and two little ones came up and crossed the top. Behind them was another group and i got a shot 1st one hit back due to pigs moving but anchored the pig there . The follow up shot did the trick. My buddy got a hail marry last day last few minutes we could hunt shot . Working a high draw we had glassed the weekend before the hunt and saw pigs in .We didn't see them this time so I said hit the call and it got them running up the draw in front of us. He shot and missed the first group . I figure we are done but hit the call again and another group came out and up . At 167 the shot hit its mark. 3 hours later we were loaded up and on our way to camp. I got home at 10 pm Monday and was supposed to be up for work at 11 to start my day at midnight on Tuesday . I just took a extra day and called it good.

Love my optima in my jeep going on 3 years . Wish I could find them for my diesel truck when the batteries hit the sh# t. Both times were back in 6a way back in the unit . Can't seem to find them when the truck needs them and for the cost of batteries in Payson I'd hate to replace them just because.

Way to go . Congrats

The big problem with the switch is everything else is corrosive and is a pain in the butt to have to clean with black powder only products.

Rain ,very light snow, and sun in 22 . A little help from some fellow hunters working the next ridge over from us and a pig down at 10 feet.

Check the long range forum classified section they have a optics section and do have some deals . My experience with vortex rifle scopes is this . Bought 4 new scopes and 2 were junk outa the box. There only good for the warranty and you will need it .

We are still headed out Thursday to Monday in unit 22 . Not the worst weather I've hunted them in . We had snow blowing one year and they shut the 87 down . As soon as it opened we were at it . Blew snow most of the way up . It was nice not a single person back there for 4 days .

That sucks. Guy at work had his 7.3 stolen and found it on the rez. It was red and nice when they found it the truck was rattle can black and someone had literally taken a sh#t in it .

Crazymonkey replied to IDAZONA's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Keith at Phoenix custom rifles or Eric at axis works also tod at southern express. -
My first one was 9 months also and I was told the 90 day thing also. They even held up my paperwork to make sure and get it in on the new at the time e file because of the 90 day turn around claim.

Twenty some years ago when I lived in California they did the same crap with the assault weapon registration. Had to go to the police station and get fingerprints and submit to the doj to register your guns. Then they were using the register to get guns from the owners or make them sell them outa state . Don't admit to anything and don't register anything . Lucky I moved to a free state and my guns and suppressor are legal here. My dad is still in CA and refuses to comply with the b.s. and has several guns deemed not legal for the state.

There is one with a trigger and stop on long range hunting for 620 for anyone that is seriously looking for the same action and not trying to get raped.

In for elk probably have a fair chance at a cow tag in 6 .Our group has a 6 point average. Put in for some of the muzzleloader anelope units but with 12 points it's probably a pipe dream for a long few years.

Federal 300 Win Mag 180 Grain Copper Hollow Points.
Crazymonkey replied to JLG's topic in Classified Ads
I shot a pig once with my 300 win once .A 150 gr at over 3k made field dressing super easy . One cut and I was done. Wrecked one front and one rear quarter .It was a sight to see the pig fly about 3 feet and land in the brush. My buddy still gives me crap about it as the pig was only a few feet from him .He did tell me to shoot it tho. -
Someone needs to kick a grenade up there butt and pull the pin.!!!

What Gun Range does everyone like?
Crazymonkey replied to Couzer's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I'm a member at Rio and it's not currently bad during the week mid day till close. The weekend is a little busy. But being a member you usually will get a bench before the general crowd. It's 150 ish I do believe to join for a single or a little more for family. The 150 is the first time as they add a administrative charge then it's like 125 or so a year afterwards. They just setup a rf I'd reader so you just scan your badge and walk in no waiting like the general during the shooting session. It's close enough to run out and shoot a few rounds and know you can do it again another day and not have to rush to try and get all your stuff dialed in .There is always another day to go back. They also have another set of bays for longer range you can get on. You have to qualify to get on them. It's a safety thing as they usually don't have a ro there. I think you have to shoot a few matches and then they will sign off your card and you can shoot the other range. There is usually no one there or very few people on it. -
It's probably a little of each. The scope might not have been set for correct eye relief. I like to get the focus dialed in to clean up the cross hairs first then when setting the eye relief I run the scope up to max magnification and make sure I can still see the hairs clearly then lightly snug things down and adjust the magnification back down and make sure it's still clean.
