Hunting deer up in 12a we ran across an old guy living outa his trailer up there. He would run a po box for his disability checks he said. And only move around due to the weather . Said he would travel to different national forest and such just to live for free .

Currently over 90 kids entered and with about 3 and a half months to go !

Good luck with your hunt . Alot of guys that can't run scopes are running adjustable peep sights . I think there made by Williams. Hope they don't do that here . It was hard enough to get the wife to believe I needed another 5x25x56 nightforce scope for my muzzy. It will be even harder to explain if I can't use it.😡

Most people will not put in with someone that has a low point total . As it drags down the rest of the guys. For example myself and my buddy have 6 points for elk . My other buddies wife has 9 points . Then there is his neighbor who is relatively new to hunting only has 3 points . You add the total and divide by the number of applicants . So 6+6+9+3=24 ÷4=6 . So for myself and my buddy no changes but for my other buddies wife it pulls her down . For the new hunter he picked up 3 in theory. Works to the new hunters advantage.

For some odd reason the wife wants me to buy another sks to replace the one I sold years ago. Be realistic with what you have to sell . Not willing to pay stupid ridiculous price . Looking for a good gun and will pay a fair price.

Bump for a great gun . I have one in 44 mag .

Great seller . Usually has family bring stuff to AZ. Bought a rifle from him awhile back and no problem.

My daughter isn't in to hunting 😕 . So I've gotten to help friends on several youth hunts . Glass and chase bugles. Usually the cows are still close to the bulls . There are alot of eyes looking then as the cows are usually bunched up . Take your time and setup for a shot . Bogg death grip is a great way to keep them steady. It's always good to just have fun . Some of the best times in the woods for me were just helping on these kids hunts. If all else you can always sit a blind on a water source everything has to have water . Sometimes it's easier for the restless and tired kids . They can sit and rest for awhile.

Non gun joker prices are from around 400 to 600 depending on condition. I got the last one for 15 minutes of work on a buddies old Toyota truck with a manifold leak. Fixed the leak and got the gun .They were about 99 bucks back then . 140 for the paratroopers model that took standard AK mags and had the shorter barrel.

Don't know why the wife wants one but I had a type 56 sks . Not a mark on it . I also sold my Egyptian maddi ak47 at the same time . It sat in the safe for 10 years . Wish I had that one back but I don't see myself spending what they go for now on another. Thought I did good selling for 760 when I did . Only to see prices go thru the roof.

Don't want to be insulting but man that's seen some rough times. Tho it is a sks and probably will shoot just about anything I'm looking for one in better shape. Remember it's for the wife and the gun I sold was almost flawless.

Any damage to the end of stock? ( cut down,screw holes buggered) making it impossible to re- mount a recoil pad.

Just a piece of advice . If you use boat gear check the line and make sure it's still good . The sun will cause the line to get brittle over time and nothing says old line like the sound of popcorn on a boat . Cut about 1 foot of line off and tie a simple overhand knot and give it a hard pull if the line snaps its old. Same goes when you go to re spool your reels . The line sits out at most shops and is exposed to the elements.
