Seems every year there is a need for rifles in calibers that the kids can shoot . If not for deer it's usually for elk. I'm in a position where I have several guns in various calibers that I could make available for a first come type loaner option. I was thinking around a 4 to 6 week borrow option. That would allow for proper time to dial in and get comfortable. It would be at no cost to borrow with the exception of ammo . Calibers I've got. Tc encore in 7-08 and 30-06 Savage axis new in 25-06 Savage 10t in 6.5 Creedmoor Remington 700 police in 223 for those who varmint hunt Ruger hawkeye in 308 Tikka m695 in 30-06 Ruger m77 mk11 in 300wm And a ruger in 338 wm for the bigger kids with elk tags. Ive also got muzzleloaders cva wolf 50 cal tc encore 50 cal and for the bigger kids a cva paramount pro in 45cal its got a anarchy break but is still stout to shoot. Most all have some sort of break with the exception of the 25-06 and the 223 scopes go from basic 3x9 to 4x14 depending. These are guns and are for hunting so if they get a rash it's not going to hurt my feelings as long as they are properly cared for. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!!

Still just kicking the idea around . I'm just putting the feelers out and seeing what the interest is .

The offer would be to any member of cwt. I do understand the risk but I have yet to have any bad experiences with the people on this site. Of course I'd have to come up with a loan agreement which would state the gun caliber serial# and the duration it's to be used . A copy of a drivers license required. My guns are insured and if they manage to not be returned they would be reported to the local authorities . In the rare case they don't make it back the insurance will pay for the guns.

I kinda see it differently. I'm in manufacturing and make parts as a cnc machinist so if it flys, drives,or blows up sh*t on land ,sea,or air I've made something for it. I work 7 days a week 82 plus hours a week every week to provide for my family and to have the things I do just to see my work get sent to Mexico . The guys down there make about 1/3 of what I make in an hour per day . Our government gives tax breaks to the major companies who we support to keep jobs here but it ends up there for no other reason but profit. If it isn't itar and can't be exported ( military) it usually finds its way south . The claim of no work is not true there are many of the major companies that have located to Mexico . You should have seen it when covid hit . They were quick to pull machines outa Mexico as the borders closed. Our own government panicked as they realize we have very little that's actually made here! Auto, medical, and military. There are plenty of hard working people here just most have forgotten how ! Each generation gets less and less educated in schools in basic life skills . There is no wood, metal, auto,or just about any other job skill type classes offered anymore.

Things I'm still in need of . 3 more cases for rifles Ammo : 7-08,308,20 gauge. 3 small kid sized hunting packs. Anything hunting related that can be used by kids. I do have 3 marsupial bino harnesses on the way . I'll pick them up next week . Thanks to Marsupial for helping out with the giveaway and giving me a very generous discount so I can pool the rebate money and other donations to purchase 😊. These are by far the best protection for binos I've found and love mine.

We got my sister's rotty drunk as a skunk way long ago. Being pretty f***Ed up ourselves we got out the washable markers and gave him a new look . Word of advice washable is not going to work on dogs . That sh*t took for ever to grow out .

I'd have to agree with everyone my hunting buddy has high end vortex binos and my leupold bx3 are better and they still have a lifetime warranty . Ziess ,meopta,Swarovski or most cables euro made by meopta are much better glass for the money.

I'm in gilbert and work in Phoenix . If it's something I need to pick up I do go out and get it . Sometimes it's difficult given my work schedule .But usually I find a way.

Looking to get rid of my old BBQ. It's seen better days 😪 .I've had it just as long as the wife of 24 years and it's time to retire it. Was looking at the trager for a replacement for the grill and the smoker and free up patio space . Anything I should know before buying . The good or the bad .

Well the ending to the story is my dad didn't get his elk. We sat every day from dark to dark and on the second to the last day he finally got an opportunity as 6 cow elk came in to water. The lead cow saw something she didn't like and turned to run as my dad sent a shot from his new cva accura 45cal . We spent the better part of the day looking for his elk . As the rest of the group ran to the north west. She went west and I had her on her feet at about 200 yds in the trees. My fault for not going after her sooner to try for another shot. 😪 . Dad is 73 and not very good with the rocks and trip Hazzard type stuff. We did find another elk that had been shot on the hunt before his but she had already been bear food . Lots of big bull elk in this spot just the cow Aaron shot and the group of 6 that my dad had an opportunity at. Hopefully he gets another opportunity in a few years and I get a few more good memories.

This is my dad's friend Aaron he's a Texas boy and married to my dad's old high school girlfriend. Aaron lives in Texas and put in for 40 years in Oklahoma for elk to never get a tag. This guy has a broken back and shattered a leg from falling outta a treestand. So getting around is not easy. Sat every day from the opener till yesterday . It was catching up to him so he stayed back in the morning. I went to see how he was at lunch and took him in to his spot. Had 4 bulls come in with just one cow . He made a great shot and she was rocking. The big bull still tried to hit it as she was clearing the dam for the water hole . Funny stuff! We saw turkey, deer, and elk come in .To all the 6a road hunters I say keep quiet and listen and watch and perseverance pays off .
