Champ and Crossbow Permit Proposed Changes
Crazymonkey replied to cactusjack's topic in The Campfire
It's sad that lots of people bash the champ tags and crossbow permits but have never been on a champ hunt or helped on a disability challenged hunters hunt. Yet here they bash them for un fair advantage! I spent 10 days in unit 27 last year helping on a champ hunt . Aj has cerebral palsy and other issues. That kid didn't have any advantage . We pushed him over a mile in only to find the elk we were watching was gone . Go on a champ hunt or disability challenged hunt and see what it takes . Lots of people here read the request for help on Aj's hunt but just passed it up . You get a army of people for sheep and sometimes elk but crickets for a disability challenged hunt . It's a shame that hunters have seemingly lost any sense of helping those who truly needed help but can help those who are more than capable. Go help on a champ hunt then make a comment!! It will definitely change your views and give you a realistic view. -

And here we go again !!! Your rifle that can shoot 1 k is ok to hunt with tho? Just about anything rifle that will take a deer or elk can do that . I guess we ban everything and call it good so the jealousy and finger pointing will finally stop . Anti hunters !!!! Way to go and help the lib tards and anti hunting crowds!! -

There's two videos for the draw one for the under ten and the other for everything else. This is the draw for the under 10 kids . The other file is to large to load . When I get it figured I'll post it up 20250902_183020.mp4

Dove scouting ,
Crazymonkey replied to oz31p's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Went 7 for a box or two . I'm not a shotgun shooter . Hit the 7 but only found 4 . The birds were not as good as last year . There definitely smaller . My buddies had two in the bag each and a few hit and lost . We really need a bird dog ! Mine is a bird dog in his backyard only . -
That's it for this year's entries !! It's 2 am and probably to early to send thank you notification . But the last entries came it with just a few minutes to spare at 11 :56 . Once I get with Huntsaz I'll have a list of winners.

High end Rifle question
Crazymonkey replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Most factory ammo is not consistent enough for shooting out past say 3 or 4 hundred yds . The es is to high . Seen a few boxes of 7 prc run over 100 fps spread last year helping on a champ elk hunt. Two maybe 3 rds were OK then it went to 💩. From box to box same lot it was terrible. -
High end Rifle question
Crazymonkey replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Load development is part of the fun of a new rifle for me . It's also expensive with powder ,primers, and different bullets. I usually sell what doesn't work if I'm not going to need the bullets or powder for another project . Your prices are reasonable given what's included. Sometimes I'd like it if my rifles had the loads figured out . I don't have alot of free time so it can take me alot longer than most to get a rifle where I'd like it.
