Finally got my First Lope
Arizona Griz replied to matthewp45's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Congratulations on some nice bucks. -
It looks like the point between the G4 and the beam tip is coming off the inside of the beam making it a abnormal point. Still a great antler and find.

They just keep getting bigger by the minute in Mexico. Great buck. -
I have done three but it has been a long time since I did it.

I wouldn't be so sure. You can't tell by a picture that's for sure.

A few pictures over the last week or so.

Our Rifles Can't Shoot Worth a Hoot
Arizona Griz replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Very, very impressive. I wish I could shoot half that good, or maybe even one quarter that good. -
The legs only open up about 45 degrees to the side like a standard tripod instead of a full 90 with the legs sprawled out flat.

It is hard to beat a Garmin Legend with the Topo MapSource program.

I just picked up the Bogen 728B tripod. It is not that heavy at just less than 4 pounds. The legs won't flatten out but I will work around that.

36A Novemeber Coues

I agree. I sat in one a few years ago antelope hunting and it was miserable but it worked great. I thought about using a small electic fan next time but I am sure the antelope would be able to hear it.

You are correct, but only after you get thru 50% of the wasted BS. It does get old after awhile especially with the "no deer in Unit 23 and go to Unit 45 if you want one" lines. You know the guy might really been trying to get a little help. You can be sure he will be back.
-
Nice collection. Congratulations.
-
I have been in the upper end of 23 a couple of times over the last month and if there were deer there I don't know where they are going to water since almost all of the stock tanks are dry.

Forest are closing
Arizona Griz replied to DesertBull's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Portions of Prescott and Kaibab National Forests are closed also. -
A good rule of thumb would be about 25% below MSRP out the door at least for toyhaulers.
-
No elk or antelope tag but I really didn't expect to draw one.
