Something you might find while shed hunting
Arizona Griz replied to COOSEFAN's topic in Shed Hunting
The rattlesnake in the first photograph is actually an Arizona Black Rattlesnake. -
I haven't but a couple of my co-workers did last weekend while turkey hunting on the San Carlos.

mexican grey wolf talks
Arizona Griz replied to fatfootdoc's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
You don't really believe that do you? There are STILL pure strains of the Mexican Grey Wolf in Mexico or at least was when the populations were assembled before the re-introduction and that is a fact. -
I too have hunted that unit a few times in the past 10 years and I have the tag again this year. Like as already been said I would not pass the first mature bull unless you have an isolated honey hole where they are abundant.

Sounds like you have a pretty good combination. Now it is time to practice, practice and practice if you haven't done so already.

I too was there and say what you all want to but the auctioneer gave everyone all the time they wanted to make a bid. True, maybe the auctioneer should have stopped the whole proceedings and explained the importance of this particular tag but that is hind sight. Maybe next time the telephone bidder won't send a boy to do a mans job.

We get a corporate table every year. I will be there.

Dandy story, pictures and videos Amanda. Congratulations on your buck.

I knew of one, saw the skull, that was shot in the vicinity of Alamo Lake about 15 years ago. There were actually two of them running with a herd of javelina. It was piebald in color and weighed about 70 pounds.

Looks pretty nice to me.

My buck won a biannual Pope & Young Award
Arizona Griz replied to bowsniper's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I totally agree. Remember the recognition is for the animal not the hunter. -
I know Larry and I have seen some of the other bucks that he has shot. They are very, very nice. Nothing like having a little honey hole.

Very nice, congratulations.

I have the newer version 2200 and like it just fine. I guess you guys carry more than I do. I put my tipod vertical in the main compartment; knives, stones, saw, mule tape, larger garbage bags, etc. in a bag in the bottom; first aid kit, emerg. poncho, flash light, matches, camera, plastic gloves, etc. in another bag in bottom: large binos next. Upper zip compartment has marking tape, tripod mounts, varmit call, GPS, and other stuff. Each side compartment has a bottle of water. Snacks go in the outside zipper pouch. I am probably missing some things but there is enogh room to carry my things. Don't ask me where the boned out meat goes though.
