Romo, you are so right. I have hunted with Duwane numerous times and have learned a ton from him. Knowing how to glass, when to move to get different angles etc. Is all part of the game. Also knowing where to move to if you arent finding the type of buck your looking for is important. That is why I have booked him for my son. Sure dont want to miss out on a chance at a monster..........www.arizonabiggamehunting.com..............Allen............

are any of you going guided or do it yourself?.....especially the two tag families huntiing east/west side will have their hands full. i figured since my son has a tag and i do, it would be smart to increase the chances for a monster and hire duwane adams.. he is a sponsor of this web page......allen

my son and i drew the late tags west side. i hired duwane adams www.arizonabiggamehunting.com to take my son. i have hunted with him before and he really kills monsters on the kaibab

I have hunted it a few times, and was there on the late rifle hunt last year. email if you want some info . environmentalfiltration@msn.com

The buck in the picture is not over 170. Most guys havent seen a 200" buck so while you would love one, if you have a 185 buck in your sights (especially if its a typical) you better shoot it. Getting a good feel on bucks rough scores can come from looking at mounts, magazine pictures and scoring a few heads yourself. It really is something you should get comfortable with if score is important, or you will never know "what that buck scores" for sure. Mass is another huge thing in looking at score.............Allen.......

Looks like it's finally going to happen - first Kaibab hunt
coueshunter replied to Coach's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
Coach, I hunted 12AW late (with a tag in hand) last year and the year before. The years prior I helped out in Duwane Adams camp. My sincere advice is to hire a guide. Couple reasons why: you dont have time/money to scout it and you have waited this long for this premium tag. Here is some logic behind my reasons. The unit is very large and the deer can/will be spread out over the unit regardless of the snow fall. Year before last I shot a great buck down low and 1 client the same day shot his big buck up on top with 2-2 1/2 foot of snow. If you are not as familiar with the unit as you should be, you will not know alot of the spots to move to if you are not finding the caliber of buck you are looking for. The "hiring of a guide" is for his unit knowledge, not necessarily that he is a better hunter than you. Regardless of what you do, I hope you have a great hunt. If you drew the Kaibab, I know you will love the terrain/weather etc....I have hunted it for 12 years now and have fallen in love with it..............Allen Taylor.................. -
I pray for a quick recovery...Allen........

bow hunting ban
coueshunter replied to hesbinrubn's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
rich, i read this article and would believe all our groups like aba, ada, aes, etc...are involved. not to pass the buck, but did you call any conservation group about the article?....maybe desert christian archers, or az bowhunters association have an organized front in place. i know alot of people who read these forums will say that is what azsfw did, but really, all conservation groups should have a representative involved in local issues such as this. i am a member of ada and aes and would like to know that they watch/respond to issues like this.....allen taylor -
