I just watched the new video out by Duwane Adams and it really has some great footage on it along with some great advice on how to be more successful bowhunting coues deer. They shoot a monster buck towards the end. Some great entertainment in anticipation to the upcoming August bow hunt.................Thanks Amanda....................Allen Taylor.................

I use the wildview II and have been very happy with it so far. Seems like my picture quality is a bit better than some others (not because of me.........LOL.......) may be some just are a bit better than others??? I can see down the road I may get a better pixel/better cameras, but I am concerned about them getting stolen.............for now I am sticking with the 79.00 wildview II................Allen.........p.s. the video selection works great on these as well. You get a 5-10 second video clip and I got some great deer and javelina clips...........

Gutless Field Dressing
coueshunter replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
I wont get into whatever this disagreement is, I can only say that I use the gutless method when the bull is a ways from access with a vehicle and man is it easy, clean and efficient. Last year with my sons bull it saved us tons of extra trips and I didnt have dried blood up to my armpits. I personally wont do anything else. If you take your time it seems for me that the gutless is less messy on me and on the meat...........Allen............. -

What did the Coues tag & Muley tag go for? How about prices on other stuff like the San Carlos hunt etc????? Just curious how much ADA brought in for AZ wildlife....thanks..............Allen..........

Chef, let me know when you are doing the glassing seminar and I would love to join in. Duwane is the king of glassing and you will really really learn alot of tips/techniques for all kinds of glassing. People sometimes dont modify their technique/style for the types of terrain and therefore dont have the same success. Example is the east side of the Kaibab is different than glassing on the west. Anyway, I wont ramble, either you or Duwane call me and let me know when you are going and I would love to hook up..............Thanks to all who participated in the Banquet, the animals really appreciate it as well...............Allen....................

Sounds like a good time had by all and the wildlife will have additional funds for water projects, habitat improvement etc. Amanda, my intentions were to come back, but both my sons could not make it and Kerri was sick, so I stayed home and helped her out............sure wish I could have bid on some of the silent auction items, there were some great ones...........the Slick tripod with Jim White head was one I was looking at (I already have both, but I bet someone got a good deal on it) How about the double bull blind? I have one already, but an extra one wouldnt hurt.........LOL..........

That was Brent Hill, 2004 on the Kaibab. He wrote his own article for MuleyCrazy along with the article I wrote on Dave Nygaards 198" typical. I was on that hunt with Brent and Dave and it was a great year. That is when Dana Yount shot a monster up there as well....................Duwane is the man............Allen Taylor..........

Bringing deer meat back into the US from Mexico
coueshunter replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
I have never had a problem bringing my food items into Mexico, they really are concerned with proper gun paperwork etc.......As for coming back, we always freeze the meat, clean/boil the skulls and freeze the capes. USDA or USFWS seems to be the hold up sometimes at the border. I personally would call USFWS at the Mesa office and confirm if there is any changes and get there blessing/direction. As for self guided, I have never had any issues with the Mexican government. I dont believe there is any requirement other than proper landowner tags and permission to hunt. The last two times I hunted self guided down there the only issues I confronted were coming back accross the border with our own U.S. agencies. Just make sure all the meat/cape is frozen and talk with USFWS before going down..........Allen Taylor......... -
My son Travis shot his first Bull Elk this past saturday. I was so happy/excited for him. It went very smooth, we got up there friday night just before dark, located a few groups of animals and then went and set up camp in the dark. I will let him tell you the story but I am too excited to leave one part sit for too long, he shot this bull at 339 yards and killed him on the first shot. I couldnt get us any closer without spooking the whole herd, so I just set him up and didnt tell him how far the shot was. He took a couple deep breaths and squeezed the trigger and that was it. I emailed a picture to Stanley for posting and can email to anyone else who will post it for me, I am clueless on the posting of pictures. my email is environmentalfiltration@msn.com. P.S. he had a small bull tag so it was fun watching him drool over the big bull in the herd but have to shoot a spike.........thanks........Allen..........

Amanda, fantastic pictures. I recognize the places you took the photo's and showed them to my family, they were jazzed about the amount of snow up there. It will be a cold bowhunt this year........thanks for the pictures..............Allen...............

Flash, there is tons of access down the 286. Santa Margarita ranch has alot of great country and good glassing spots around it. My advice would be to get down 286 farther than the majority of hunters that hunt around Elkhorn ranch, and then find a road like Santa margarita and hike in at least 1/2 mile. The deer are there but your biggest battle will be all the people. There are deer down low in the flats and up high on the hills, just get away from the easy access points............Allen Taylor.............

I believe I have bought every coues deer video out there. I think you cant buy enough.......LOL.......I think Jay Scott/Darr Colbrun's video is a great one ( I believe it is sold here) and Dead on is also a good video. You cant go wrong with any of these Amanda sells here............Allen Taylor........... -
Mike, I have a set of Cabela's dry plus rain gear that I believe I paid around 175.00 for tops/bottoms combined. I bought it for Alaska and have used it all over and could not speak higher of this outfit. I think Doug (redrabbit) mentioned the M-50 from cabelas. I sure have been impressed with how well it has held up. I bought this outfit around 6 years ago...........Allen........
