What contributes most to harvesting MONSTER BUCKS
coueshunter replied to coues7's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
First answer for many would be having a tag. Now that I said that, I decided to bow hunt last year so I dont use the "tag" excuse. Anyway, back to your question, I think the biggest contributor to shooting a big buck is TIME. If you can spend the valuable time scouting and during the hunt, this for me would contribute greatly to consistently killing big bucks. I have 2 kids and a wife so I really understand time constraints. Even checking my cameras and all the stuff before bow season takes alot of time away from the family. Anyway, Time, patience (passing on smaller bucks) going the "extra little bit" above what everyone else does would be the recipe for a big buck to me..........Allen Taylor....... -

Has anyone used the Moultrie D40 camera's????? I just bought a couple for $70.00 each at Bass Pro. Where I put my cameras up, theft is a real issue so I cant spend the cash on the ones i really want. I have had wildview's for three years now, but they just died on me. Any input on the Moultrie's will be appreciated........Allen Taylor.....

I switched from Swarovski scope to the Vari x III 4.5 x 14 with a premier reticle zero at 200 and dots out to 600. I really like the ease of this scope..........

Camo choices in Sierra vista az ?
coueshunter replied to ArcheryHunter's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
you definitely want some different camo. Hunting in AZ in the desert requires one type of camo, and up elk hunting will be a different color. Go to cabelas or basspro and look around at the various designs they have. I use True sage camo for elk and then a darker color for coues deer. I cant remember the brand for coues deer but its logo is a cameleon. Hopefully you get a few responses here. Kings makes some nice camo that we use here in the West........Allen Taylor........ -
