Thanks a bunch for the responses. I was thinking about G5 and the floating pin, but when the battle starts sometimes there isnt time to mess with adjusting the floating pin so I think a set up with 7 or more pins is the way to go. Thanks again.............Allen........

Deerhunter: I would put it up right away. The only issue is worrying about it getting stolen so hopefully your spot is not somewhere where everyone see's your treestand. I would lock it to the tree and mark it with an engraver. If you put it up by the water hole, make sure you are around 25 yards away (just not so close you spook the deer) if you are thinking of a trail, set up where you have trails crossing each other, an intersection where your chances are higher that deer will move through. I would set up salt so the deer stay in front of you longer instead of just walking by................

After reading this post, I went to QAD site and bought the hunter rest. It was only 59.95. Seems like they have a solution for a very affordable price.............Of course they have 125.00 to 150.00 rests available................Allen..........

My son Travis #18 is playing at Chase Field this morning 10:00am. The Mt View Toros vs. Basha. I hope it is on channel 7 but watch for Travis he is on MT. view. May be starting right or left field.............I am taking my 15's a tripod and camera adapter so look for the geek with a coues outfit taking pictures.........LOL..........I am so proud of my son.....................Allen...............

I am not totally sure how you set up/hunt etc. but here is what i am doing, maybe it will give you an idea. I use a Velbon efl3 tripod to glass from with my 15's and carry an extra slik sprint pro tripod with a rubber v on the tripod head to shoot from. It really helps shooting from the tripod on steep hills where you cant lay your pack down due to the extreme slope............Allen......
