I went up to pull my camera's today. Havent been up for 3 weeks. There was a fire up on top, it covered alot of area and I hadnt heard about it. Does anyone know when this fire started? Was it lightning started? Just curious, it burned alot of stuff on top............Allen........

Redneck, post these on Monstermuleys. I dont say this to take away from Amanda, but there are more fishermen over there. Utah, Washington type guys use these in the lakes-Utah and the ocean in Wash/Ore. Cannon is a good brand...........Alllen............

Lark, you gotta a ton of money. You need to buy this gun and my pre 64 .270.........You got nothin but time and money on your hands................LOL............AT.........

I have been shooting off the slik sprint pro and cannot even tell you what the poundage rating is. Anyway my thought is this. You arent putting all the gun weight on the tripod anyway, you are holding the stock and the forearm is resting on the tripod ( I have a rubber V mounted on the tripo) and therefore it is only holding 50-60% of the guns total weight I believe so you shouldnt have a problem if the legs are set so the tripod doesnt tilt..........Allen............

I second what coach is saying. I use Jim Whites adapter. I have alot of tripods but my main one is the Velbon EFL-4. My son uses the slik sprint pro............The slik and the Jim white adapter for you would be the best option. PLUS, ask yourselves this. WHO really glasses ALOT for coues deer in 50MPH winds? I have hunted alot and the velbon and slik have worked well..............Alllen........

I havent got an AZ tag yet but here is my best from Wyo. 75" type buck.........Allen.

here are pictures of the .270 and the two model 12's. As you can see the model 12's are original and the .270 is what lark said about the safety blocking the rear sight.....
-
Lark, the safety is right on the back end of the bolt it slides right to left but doesnt look like it blocks your sight path. It has what I think is the serial number on the barrell 26110. The gun is just the .270 WCF not the super grade. Does not have a scope nor did it ever......blueing is great, stock is really nice piece of wood.......Doesnt look like anything has been modified on it........if i can figure out how to post a picture i will...........if not, i can bring it to my office 40th street/Broadway in Phoenix.........AT.......

I am going to get the gun and rangefinder out tonight/tomorrow and provide more info..........Thanks............AT................

coueshunter replied to Destroyer's topic in Classified Ads
what is it? sorry to sound stupid but I dont know........... -
Lark, kinda like you, I had a hankerin to own some particular guns. This one was because it was Jack O'Connors favorite. I have never shot it, bought it about 10 years ago. It has been in a safe since then. I will pull it out this weekend and look it over. I know the serial number is real low for whatever thats worth...................Allen..............

Big Mike, are you set up to hunt them? Do you have some 15X bino's and a tripod? You can still glass with 10x but really should get a tripod.............Do you glass alot in other kinds of hunting? Ask some questions and tell us where you are at so we can give some pointers..............Allen..........

I would like to set mine up 2 weeks before the season but it would get stolen. That being said, I set it up the night before opener and brush it in pretty good. I shot one season before last and my son missed 2. Last year we had alot of deer come in, but no shooters........... So my experience says you can set it up the same day and still have deer as long as you make it fit right in with the surroundings..................Allen...........

It will really depend on what your expectations are. I would call around. Call the game manager for the unit. Call Ryan Hatch at MuleyCrazy. Post this on Monster Muleys website. If you just want regular sized bucks, then a DIY hunt with a couple scouting trips is o.k. If you want some monsters, maybe paying for a map service which would get you quickly into some areas that are known to hold good bucks. I know it is alot of money for guides so maybe the map option is a thought.....................Allen...............
