I have done what WillK has, I started checking the trailer and my gear a week ago. I have finalized everything except the food/ice that I will load up wed night. I am ready and excited. My wife is going with me opening weekend so I am really happy about that..........Allen.........

Who drew either 1 or 27? I am pumped, it took 12 bonus points but I finally have my tag. Who else was fortunate enough to draw?????...................Allen...............

The lights on my Haulmark trailer dont work. Anyone who would come to my house tomorrow, monday, tuesday and look into this problem would be paid just like any repair shop. I had a "reputable" company set up to be at my house thursday and they didnt show up or return calls. Call me if your interested. I live in Mesa.......480-258-3726 Allen Taylor.....

Thank you everyone for your advice. I ended up running it over to uhaul and it was a blown fuse. Kinda thought I would offer it up to someone here who might need some pocket money before I ran it too a shop. Surprisingly no phone calls so I had to get r done. Thanks again to all who responded..........Allen.........

This is a covered/enclosed trailer. I dont even see how to check bulbs. I figure i will pay someone if anyone is interested. Lark, you are way smarter than everyone............Allen.....480-258-3726

I think that was Miller's. They had a trailer parked along the main road in Springerville and your meat was taken back to their processing plant in Queen creek. I am looking for something up there this year. I will be in unit 1 and dont want to drive down to sho low to drop off the meat..........Allen Taylor.......

Any springerville trailers set up this year? It is a long haul to the lone eagle location you had a couple years back.............Allen Taylor..........

Amanda and others. I have questions about the Management of the Kaibab. It is/was my understanding that ADA worked jointly with the AZGFD to revise the overall picture on the Kaibab. Without going into major details, it was my understanding that AZGFD may have been looking at "available food" in the wrong manner. Anyway, I thought that there was talk of reducing doe tags and creating a larger herd managed for "quality" and not quantity. This being said, the following are some questions I have: 1. Why does Todd Buck---(I believe he is game manager of the unit) why does he want to see a big reduction in the quantity of deer up there? 2. Is Todd not agreeing with the other AZGFD people and ADA? 3. What weight does Todd have on the overall objectives for the Kaibab? Maybe someone from AZGFD like Brian Wakeling can answer this. P.S. the questions are not intended to be inflammatory, or asked in anger, I just am curious. Thanks.......Allen Taylor...480-258-3726

bump...Brian Wakeling? anyone? I am just curious.............Allen............

Wesley, I think Amanda sells a video on this website about Glassing. It is done by Duwane Adams and really is a good video. Regardless of what type of terrain you are glassing, you need to break down the area into sections and pick it apart. Naturally muleys are much easier to see than coues deer just because of their size. always be looking for "shapes/colors/movement" while looking in your bino's. Make sure your bino's are on a tripod, it will really really increase the amount of deer you see.............Allen..........

I spoke to the forest service today. They are opening more roads tomorrow. When you view the map of "open roads" it looks like many are open. It appears that by hunt time, most roads will be accesible......AT.......

Slik still makes good tripods. There is a slik sprint pro here on CW i bought a couple years ago for my son. Good tripod. I also like Velbon EFL4 for my 15's......under 200.00.............allen.......

Heat, I was up last year on both the early and late hunts. I will be again this year. Sure didnt mean anything by responding to Roy who posted. The Kaibab is very special to me and I sure would like to keep it that way. Based on your expectations you should easily kill one.........Allen......

Roy, you know what else is bothersome? Alot of people including Mr. Buck think that the Kaibab has too many deer. I just spoke to a guy that did his thesis on the Kaibab and he said the concern is if we have a really bad winter then the die off will be huge. I guess I dont see that happening up there. I see tons of available forage and wintering area and think the carrying capacity is much larger/bigger than what we have up there. I think we have over harvested the does up there for years. Anyway, what do I know..............Allen.............
