A Fun Little Gun Followed Me Home
drcarr replied to Hoss50's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I have a FS CZ-527 in .223 Remington that came with an absolutely beautiful Turkish Walnut tiger stripe stock...My guns are for shooting and I've pretty much made this my go-to rifle for mid-range predator hunting...carrying an old school wide angle 3x9 Redfield and using 55gr factory cartridges this gun easily shoots moa at 200yrds...would love to find a FS CZ-527 in 22 Hornet...... -
Probably not your missing phone however might be worth taking a look... Yesterday September 24th, this guy posted the information found below on Facebook in the Broadhead Brotherhood group: "Jessy Cates" I found a cell phone on the 249, north of Alpine. Thought it flew of the trailer in front of me, but the lady said it wasn't their phone. So if you lost one around there. Message me the brand, model, color and I will get it back to you. I can't turn it on to call anybody on it to find ot who to send it to. Doesn't apear to be broke.

How old were you when you started hunting big game?
drcarr replied to Zeke-BE's topic in The Campfire
Started hunting Arizona biggame in 1970 at age 10...Got my first buck, a large bodied 6x5 37A Muley, in 1972 at age 12...My 32 year old son got his first buck, a good eating 2x3 36A Muley, in 1993 at age 10...My 30 year old son got his first buck, a heavy, palmated 113" 35b Coues, in 1997 at age 11...all three of us have enjoyed fairly consistent successes ever since........... -

I don't know if I would laugh at them but I would agree there are far more factors involved than drought. Population and groundwater pumping increases come to mind but I'm no expert, what are you referring to, Joe? I agree that increased water usage by the communities surrounding Upper and Lower Lake Mary, Marshall, Mormon and Stoneman Lakes have had a huge detrimental effect on current water levels...But I also believe that the decades-long decline in yearly rain totals is by far the greater reason why Russell tank, Long Lake and many other bodies of water scattered throughout Arizona continue to dry up year after year..........
-
In the late 70's Stoneman Lake was putting out one state record yellow perch after another...Mormon Lake consistently produced decent sized pike, walleye and more than a few yellow-belly bullheads...and just about all the nearby cattle tanks we're loaded with water dogs and little yellow-belly bullheads... Russell tank used to be a good out-of-the-way blast and cast spot for ducks and trout...if you fished it right Oak Creek would even come through with an occasional 18 plus inch brown trout...Kinnikinick lake was a mighty fine place to connect with an oversized brown trout too...from late January right into mid February we would catch decent 12 fish limits of rainbows through the ice at Ashurst lake...back then you would get so many Hammer handle size pike out of Lower Lake Mary that your arms got sore from casting... and boy did we slay the walleyes whenever the Upper Lake spillway was running in the lower Lake... I sure had high hopes of introducing all that good fishing to my children...too bad those lakes went into a steady decline and just never recovered from this decades-long drought that were experiencing.........

HUGE public land sale Cochise co / South Willcox
drcarr replied to elkaholic's topic in Classified Ads
No sir, I was just suggesting that because more people are aware of this auction, there would probably be more FFL holders bidding... LOL... That is good information about the property for sale... I understand that, due to proposed housing developments, some parts of Cochise County are going to experience quite a bit of growth...Thank you for the information......... -
HUGE public land sale Cochise co / South Willcox
drcarr replied to elkaholic's topic in Classified Ads
They will this time!!! Plenty of FFL holders on this site...Haha...... -
Just completed my second purchase from "Elkaholic1"...both times the condition of the sale items exceeded my expectations and his selling price was more than fair... I look forward to doing business with him again........
-
Recently purchased a rifle from "levers"...the gun received was in far better condition than I was told to expect and he was very patient as we worked out the logistics of getting the gun from Phoenix to Tucson...I would definitely do business with him again.........
-
Thanks again for working with me at figuring out the best delivery plan...the rifle is in far better condition then any so-called "truck gun" I have ever owned...I'll definitely be looking over the next "truck gun" quality firearm you put up for sale... Haha

Hornady ELD Match vs ELD X (hunter)
drcarr replied to Zeke-BE's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I have a great 200grn Accubond loading for my 300 Win Mag... it took me a few years to change from Partition's to Accubond's... I think I'll wait a bit more before investing in either ABLR's or the ELDX's........... -
I've used "Sages" several times...Extremely fast deliveries with product always meeting if not exceeding my expectations...Highly recommend this site...........
-
Congratulations Lee...getting an antelope tag is fantastic... honoring the animal and the hunt by using an old-school rifle and caliber is outstanding...good luck to you...........
-
Only bought points this draw due to illness...I'm getting better and will be focusing on predators/OTC hunts as my health permits........
-
The questions are beneficial from a sellers point of view as it keeps the post bumped to the top and the demonstrated interest in an item often encourages fence sitters to buy...if I lose a sale because of this behaviour too bad for me and you...overall the questions are a good and necessary sales tool.........

Would this fit a model 10? What is this barrels contour style? Thanks for the information......
