...thanks for your interest... this is starting to turn sour real quick... this may be the last time I post any pics, etc on here... I had no intentions of an F U with respect to the other hunter... like I had mentioned, I never noticed the stand until I was ready to leave from where I had field dressed the deer out... It was about 7pm, we were both drenched from rain and without coats... I had no shovel, no digging tools to move the large mess. We were 4 miles from camp and give me a break, it was my 1st time field dressing a deer so it wasnt a pretty site. We did our best with what we had. By the time he(maybe its you or your friend???) shows back up to his stand, it'll be gone from coyotes or a lion. I know for a fact he hasnt used the stand because I asked my friend to go check on his it for me, he said it has been untouched. Why was it so important to give accolades to the "other" hunter for tippin his hat and conceding to me? I was sitting in my stand for 12 hrs when he showed up AND its not confirmed that was his stand, only a suggestion. Was he really thinkin he would crawl up a tree within shooting distance of 2 other stands? Only an ignorant, selfish person would do that. Josh, youre right... that is a treestand, but not mine!!! I was in my stand and at 4:30 a guy rolls up on a quad, sees us, looks to his left for about 20 sec, then leaves... 30 min later I shot the buck and it ran to and died under his climber... I was so excited I never noticed the stand until we were leavin and my son asks if we are taking the treestand with us... guess I was in the zone the whole time we cleaned out the deer and got pics and I never realized a blind was in my back. anyway, its possible thats why the quad guy was lookin hard to his left, he wanted his stand! well, we left him a gift I suppose... at the foot of that tree... hope he didnt step in it!!!

that is definately a once in a lifetime experience! I would be willing to act like your friend if you cant find a 3rd tag holder

now that you mention it... youre right about the tag! but for "the record" you cant see his back left leg... but there is something else and by the way I am field dressin the deer RIGHT where he took a dirt nap

longshooter and I came across a floater at a tournament on Lake Pleasant a few yrs back... he'd fallen out of his boat on 4th of July, we found him on july 21st... I called 911 and gave them the GPS coord and they wanted me to pull him in my bass boat, I said no... just couldnt do it. In dental school we worked on cadavers for a whole yr, every day... disecting and learning every nook and cranny, but hoisting the 3wk old dead body into my boat was too much to handle....

what treestands should I look to get and which do I need to avoid and why? my buddy made his own, but was wondering what others have found to be what they consider the best. Im talkin puttin it up over 10' in a pine, oak or quakie... thanks

how you getting it up in the tree? I live 4 hrs from my area, 1 stand is already there to make sure its got very little scent on it... btw, its a climber... this one you posted is a hang on.... just doesnt look the safest for a rookie 12yr old or am i wrong? thanks for the help Clay... his mom wont be too happy if he comes back in pieces!!! cant be too careful
