Ive had the geovids for a yr... sure lovem... just spent a week glassin and dang, what a difference they make compared to my buddys' glass. If i recall, its ranged out to about 1250ish... one other thing, since the rangefinder is in the spot that the swaro tripod attachment usually goes, you need to get the Outdoorsmans objective ring to mount to your tripod... and its extremely stable. good luck

you still have the sendero?

My hunt for whitetail this year is over and I finally got a deer, my 1st one!!! On the last day we saw this deer right before the sun went down. We ranged it at 650. Earlier during the hunt we saw a couple of bucks and I took several very long shots & missed. So we decided to stalk it a couple of yards. When we were done it ranged 200. Once it was broadside, I shot it right behind the shoulder and it dropped. After it went down we went to gut it and also to get pics. After we gutted it the sun went down. We packed him down the mountain. And what we thought was fork turned out to be a 2x3. So as of now I, Kohl, have the bigger buck!

Since you're going for meat, buy a side of beef its cheaper and tastes better or shoot a spike

What are yall using to support or brace your rifle for all those long distance shots? I have the outdoorsmans tripod and pistol grip... Is there something that can attach to that for secure, stable shots?
-
thanks for the input so far... was trying to get something more then a monopod for my 12 yr old to shoot off of by weds eve... having a hard time coming up with what I need. I guess I'll try sportsmans warehouse for those Stoney Point shooting sticks

check out www.azbasszone.com a guy on there is selling a few big bass wall mounts

have him shoot whatever feels more comfortable and stick with it!!! Im not a fan of the rt/left eye dominant stuff.... once you close one eye, the open one is automatically dominant! and due to some old "war" injuries, it can be overcome, especially at a young age...
