Last year we were already able to apply by May 5th. This year regs aren't even available yet. Looking forward to another 💩 show of a draw.
-
It is certainly a sign that they are realizing they are completely incompetent. So I suppose that's one good thing that is coming from it. They do still have the July 26th leftover application deadline but they will just move it as they see fit. Nevada has their deadline on the 10th of this month and guarantee results before the 26th of May. Amazing what a private company can do vs the government morons.
-
That's what I said
-
I'm proud of them. Now just need the actual draw to open up. Found it interesting they didn't put a hard date for credit card updates this time around.
-
Time will tell, but I know plenty of people with screwed up portals still. Paper apps or not, AZ is the only state that gives people less than a month to apply for their draws.
-
You know the draw for those deer and sheep animals that has a deadline in about a month? The one that in years past they had regulations out in the middle of April and opened the application process the first week of May? Well that draw cycle still doesn't have the regulations released and it's May 4th. All signs point to a completely f'ed up deer and sheep draw just like the elk and antelope draw. They are obviously still struggling with getting their system working like it should or they wouldn't be this far behind.

Do I have the right to go build a house in the forest? Do I have the right to cut down all the trees for firewood? No. Rights don't mean we get to do whatever we please, whenever we want, wherever we want. Now you'll say well those things aren't "allowed". The reason they aren't "allowed" is because there were laws put in place to stop it from happening. The same way there will soon be a law regarding trail cameras.
-
Simply showing you that your logic is flawed. Wanted to make sure you really understood. And it worked. Also, your rights and opportunities aren't being restricted because "someone doesn't like it". First off there is no "right" to put a camera in the national forest. It is allowed but not a right. As for the opportunity to use the cameras you still have the opportunity to use them. Just the same that you have the opportunity to use a spotlight, fly in a helicopter etc. You just can't do any of that while attempting to kill an animal and can't use camera info to kill an animal with it. This is a fair chase issue, not a my feelings are getting hurt issue.

I like to hunt out of a helicopter with a machine gun. Pisses me off they made laws against it and are restricting my rights.
-
The beauty will be that it will be enforced by hunters in the field, leaving basically everyone no choice but to stop using cameras. Right or wrong there will be plenty of bashed in cameras.

McKay Sorenson is the best there is. Trapperman wildlife studios in St George Utah

95% of the problem is waterholes. So they will achieve their goal. Perfect.

I'm gonna have to go sign up for a membership with them now. Good for them.

Late April fools joke, he just wanted to get you guys all excited.
-
Not sure how to interpret it but sounds like they have to add a tag to make sure they don't exceed the 20% cap? Kind of weird.
-
Good question, have never thought about how the bonus pass works with so few tags. My brother went for 4a archery as his first choice as well and had 17 so you must have beat him out. He ended up with tag #2 in 4b but there are 10 tags there. With this year's draw who knows what happened. Might find out 10 guys got tag #1 in 4a.

Spelling is certainly something you don't know, but even more interesting you think one guy that works for the game and fish (that doesn't want the game and fish to look bad) has the final say on the topic.
-
You don't have the knowledge to even get the guys name right so I'm gonna take that with a grain of salt. Jim Heffelfinger apparently is the end all be all to the data. He did however once say that deer in Central AZ (not Northern AZ) begin rutting mid November and are done by mid December so take that for what it's worth.

So they think people will give up hunting because they have to answer a 5 minute survey? 🤔 makes sense
-
Must be tough to be so jealous of someone finding antlers you post about a score that doesn't matter.
-
Several. Not sure where you draw the line at "likely" but all of those hunts I posted aren't guaranteed with 5.
-
Weird, I had heard of that happening to non residents before when the 10% cap had been reached and they arent able to give more tags to nr even with tags available. I guess look on the brightside now he doesn't have to use his points for the same tag he put in for. But yes that's just another addition to the screw ups of this draw.
-
Is he a Non Resident?
-
And had the whole Rez to hunt, that's a smoking deal.

So. . . What did you get?
