Was it East or west of the freeway? We have had people working out west of the freeway that normally carry radios, I will check and see if anybody is missing one.

Great job on the video! Stay safe out there this year.

Thanks for posting. It was good to talk to you in person around the campfire Saturday night.

Just show up at the project next weekend, you can get all of your questions answered by the people who have spent many years in the organization, and earn a good dinner on Saturday night for your labors on the project.

that ones called hermosillos I believe? Next to the appliance shop and Tony's deli. I work close to there. I love the bacon wrapped cheese stuffed pepper that comes on the side. +1 on Hermosillos and their wrapped and stuffed peppers!!

We made Jackrabbit tamales for Christmas, just cubed the meat and crockpotted it with salt pepper and garlic, then added Santa Cruz red chile when we shredded it. Everybody keeps going back for more. You can probably do the same with the javalina.

Now you just need to add a segment where you fly down and zoom in on the sticker on the back of your jeep for the closing credits.

The ones that have been seen around the Picachos and Newman Peak were passing through or trying to get there and stopped by the freeway. We are working on fixing up the water developments on and around the mountain so it will be ready for some in the future.

San Carlos or Picacho Water
NRS replied to a topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
They are letting water out of San Carlos for irrigation, but I think Picacho is dry. -
I made a green chili/tomatillo sauce and simmered the dove breast in it in the crock pot for about 3 hours. Went great with corn tortillas to mop it up with.

Yes, there are Lynx in AZ, Lynx lake and Lynx creek, both up by Prescott

USFWS Proposing Endangered Status for Mexican Wolf
NRS replied to Outdoor Writer's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Looks like they are keeping the population as an expeimental population and not doing away with that designation. That gives them more flexibility to deal with problem wolves. -
The tag in 37B is the result of a transplant program just like what is being proposed for the catalinas that was done over the last 10 years. This is a very successful program the bring the sheep back into the places they used to be in, and it is funded by the sportsmens through the big game tag funds.

Here is where you can check on fire restrictions, I did not see SE AZ listed for FS and BLM, but I know that they also go into effect at midnight tonight. http://firerestrictions.us/az/

Thanks to all of you who were mentors at the camp. Beause it was not our first time turkey hunting, we did not get a mentor, but all the mentors that we talked with were very helpful and generous with their knowledge of where the birds were and where they were calling. We finally got into some on Sunday morning and spent the morning chasing and talking with a gobbler that just would not come into range.

Moving Bighorn Sheep Video-Unit 22 to Unit 37B Mineral Mtns
NRS replied to Jay Scott's topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
My son Kolin is in the video untangling a net about the 5:15 min mark. I heard that the herd is doing good enough that the department is going to offer a tag in the Minerals this year. -
The AAF will be having a project in the Sonoita area on the Rose Tree, Woods and Babocomari ranches on May 4 for anyone interested. Here is the flyer for it. AAF Project Flyer Rose Tree Ranch 2013-05-04.pdf
