FS: ***SOLD PENDING FUNDS***Tikka T3 Stainless SuperLite 223
ruppart posted a topic in Classified Ads
***SOLD PENDING FUNDS; THANK YOU***Very light, handy, and fun little rifle. Scope is a Leupold VX-2 3-9x40mm with LR dot flex, set in 1" Talley rings. Includes the pictured soft case. Purchased this about 6 years ago to help my then-little kids transition to centerfire rifles and medium game hunting. Took a javelina a mule deer with it. Has about 300 rounds down the pipe. Had some fun with them Duracoating the barreled action, stock, and scope, then applying some extra texture/color to the stock with some spray paint patterns. Kids are all grown up now, and this girl doesn't get shot any more. So hoping it can find a new home. Would make a great walk-about coyote rifle. If interested, can also include 180 rounds of hand loads consisting of 65gr Sierra GameKing BTSPs over some H4895, moving ~3000 fps (load data on the boxes). $550 face-to-face in the West Valley area. No trades, please. -

Yes. Although, just so you know, it did sell last night. Sorry I forgot to tag the post then. -
If you're thinking 223 isn't too loud, you might check out this Tikka T3 in 223 I have listed. It's relatively light (shy of 7 lbs), good scope for what you want, plenty of knock-down for a coyote at your ranges. Having shot both this and an AR, I can attest that the blast is noticeably less from the 22" barrel vs. the 16" AR. But it's still a centerfire rifle cartridge, so it's certainly not quiet.

Great thread; glad I found this! Here's another contribution (originally posted over on forum.nosler.com here). Cow elk, taken with my 7mm-08 pushing a 160gr AccuBond at 2725 fps out my Tikka T3x. I found a small group of cows at about sundown. One stepped out of some cedar trees in a clear grassy spot down hill of where I was at about 360 yards, quartering towards me. I took the shot, and she immediately tensed up & walked a very quick half-circle back behind a tree where I could only see her head. A few seconds later, she flopped over and didn't get back up...no more than 10 seconds after the shoot. Upon inspection/field dressing, I found the bullet (pictures below) had entered between two ribs about 4 inches behind her right shoulder blade and passed through her lungs, liver, and a little of her stomach before coming to rest against the offside hide. My rough measurement says it went through about 22" of elk. Vertically, the bullet hit a little high, in the top 1/3 of her lungs, 4-5" below the top of her ribs/spine. The recovered bullet (after cleaning) weighs 140 grains, yielding ~87% weight retention. My ballistic calculator puts the bullet going about 2250 fps, with 1800 foot-pounds of energy at impact. I had some reservations about using this heavy of a bullet in the 7mm-08, thinking it might not open up well at extended range/lower velocities. Looks like my worries were unfounded, at least for this particular AB. I couldn't ask for any more from the bullet given the conditions. Sorry I didn't have a picture of the elk before field dressing/packing it out. I didn't have my phone with me the night I got her, so the best I could include was the rifle and packed out meat/proof-of-gender.

***SOLD PENDING FUNDS; THANKS!*** Got this rifle a little over 2 years ago, but found I like the balance of the T3x Lite (no fluting) a little better in the B&C stock my rifles usually wear. Great little rifle, though. Would keep this one around for my son, except he's not interested in hunting big game. Had some fun installing a LimbSaver recoil pad and painting the factory stock. Nothing fancy, just some krylon and imagination. Applied some of Brownell's black Alumi-Hyde to remove what I perceived to be too much glare off of the original brushed stainless finish. But ended up removing it, because...well, side note, that stuff's terrible. There's some slight residual left on the barrel, but for the most part it looks like when it came out of the box, with a little less glare than it had new. Scope is a Leupold VX-3 3.5-10x40mm CDS with a Wind-Plex reticle, set in Talley rings. Includes a CDS dial for 140gr Accubonds going 2850fps. Speaking of which, includes 30 rounds of factory Federal Premium 140 gr Nosler Accubonds, which I've measured at ~2850 fps from this rifle. It shoots these into 1" or better at 100 yards. Total rounds through the rifle is a little shy of 180. Great rifle, very easy to tote around. As configured, weighs a little shy of 7 lbs on my scale. $600 face-to-face in the West Valley area. No trades, please.

ruppart posted a topic in Classified Ads
***BOTH SOLD PENDING FUNDS: THANKS!*** Varget: Got two pounds a couple of years back when it was super hard to find, ended up using only a little less than .5 pounds. Founds my rifles liked RL17 and H4895 better, so this hasn't been used. I'm sure someone can find a use for it. Has been stored in my house (AC) at all times. Only one has been opened, other is still sealed. $40 face-to-face in the West Valley Area. Assorted bullets: 50 140gr Nosler Ballistic Tips 100 139gr Hornady SSTs ~30 Rem 140gr Core-Lokts $30 face-to-face in the West Valley Area. Or...$65 for everything if anyone wants to combine stuff.- 1 reply

1-in-8" twist, stamped on the barrel (picture below). Thanks for asking, as I forgot about the difference in twist rate that made this one appealing to me way back when instead of the more powerful 22-250 that's somewhat limited (for what I wanted anyway) by a 1-in-12" twist, at least when I was looking. -
New in box, never fired. Includes three (3) additional factory CZ 15-round magazines (for 5 total magazines). Got this in trade, thinking it might be nice to play with. Indeed, it does have some nice features. Unfortunately, even with the large grip insert, it's just not big enough in the right places to fit my 2XL glove size hands. $475450 face-to-face in the West Valley. No trades, please.

Still available. Hope all the archery elk folks out there had a good weekend!

**SOLD** FS: **Price Drop** M&P Shield 2.0 w/night sites, other extras
ruppart posted a topic in Classified Ads
Includes Ameriglo I-Dot Pro night sites, three (3) 8-round magazines, the original 7-round magazine, a kydex mag carrier, and two kydex holsters (one OWB, one IWB). Pistol is in excellent condition with about 700 rounds down the tube. Absolutely zero issues in those rounds. Carried this & practiced with it for a while, but found it's just a little too small for my hands to draw/shoot/manipulate as efficiently as I want to. For those with normal hands, this is a great carry gun. Lite & small enough to carry & conceal easily, but heavy enough to still shoot well. $425 face-to-face in the West Valley area. Sorry, no trades. -
HyNoon and 5alivefishing were great to deal with. Enjoyed dealing with both.

Sold to HyNoon. Thanks! -
This scope sat on top of a Tikka T3 in 223 for many years as a fun rifle for me and training rifle for my kids. Coated it in coyote tan Duracoat for some protection from the elements (mainly my kids :) and...well, just because. Upgrading the scope on this rifle, so this one needs to find a new home. Optics are scratch-free, and finish only has a few small marks in the Duracoat. Includes original box and Butler Creek flip-up covers. $170 face-to-face in the West Phoenix area, or can ship USPS for an extra $10. No trades, please.

ruppart posted a topic in Classified Ads
This used to be my old hiking around buddy until I found an FDE G20. Now, it mostly just sits in my safe. Has some holster wear and a few minor marks on the frame. Includes Warren 2-dot night sights, steel guide rod, extended slide release and magazine release, a grip plug, and 3.5# connector. Shoots very well. Includes original case and 5 17-round factory magazines (not shown in pictures). Also includes 2 factory replacement guide rods as spares. $375 face-to-face in the West Valley area.
