    Want to buy

Also keep an eye out for the "International Residential Code" (IRC), we built a house 2006-2007 and Pima County Develpoment Services (from a permitting perspective) references the the IRC a lot...i found myself spending a few hours at a public library where most of the references/codes are available. It is not ideal, but i did get the info i needed.

    Elk Sign

If anybody really wants to do the math, here are the ADOT specifications for the sign. Elk Warning Sign Once you deterine the size of the sign (36" or 48"), you maybe able to make some assumptions on the dimensions in the graphic...and then scale up to a typical/well known dimension on an average bull to determine its score. I am way too lazy. Good Luck.

    Political E-scouting

The link below should provide some general answers to the hot national issues...hopefully it is helpful to you. Once you answer a few questions it will provide a list of the candidates who you have the most in common with. FIND YOUR CANDIDATE http://www.wqad.com/Global/link.asp?L=259460 But you're right...you'll probably agree on one/few issues and lose out on another (especially pertaining to the "mainstream" candidates).

    ASU vs Oregon

No jealousy here. I am as "Tucson" as they come and I fully support the Suns and Dbacks because they are competitive and fun to watch. (Probably the same reasons why you watch UA Basketball) The Cardinals have been a JOKE, and their management refuses to improve the team. Cards will get my support if/when they put a decent product out on the field...they did move out of ASU's stadium into a giant "Air-Stream" Trailor, so I will consider rooting for them in the future.

    ASU vs Oregon

You can go ahead and say what you want, but all we have to say is SCOREBOARD, we can lose the rest of our games and we are still in a bowl and one of the top teams in the pac-10. Our wins and losses if we have any mean something and can be talked about, but if you feel that UofA is being left out we can include them in the discussion, who is going to be coaching them next year, are they going to finish 8th, 9th or 10th in the pac-10, when if ever will they get to the Rose Bowl, or as usual we can just wait till basketball season and listen then. I know you folks to the north have a lot to be proud of, but I sure hope ASU finishes the Pac-10 the way they started...seeing how they have the top 3 teams remaining on the schedule. I wouldn't be suprised to see ASU drop 3 in row...and then when UA beats them in Dec they'll end up finishing 5-4...right in the middle of the pack. Stoops probably needs a miracle to save his job, but beating ASU up there would be a good start. It hasn't been a great 5 years (1-4), but over the last 25 seasons UA's record against ASU is 15-9-1. Good luck for now, and hold on to being "one of the top teams in the pac-10" as long as you can. We'll soon see if they were able to finish it out. And yes, Basketball season started last night - pretty full house at Mckale Center for the Red-Blue Game. P.S. Go Ducks.

    10x42's

I followed several discussions on optics within this forum before finally joining this site. I was in the same situation, looking for dependable binos...without spending huge money. I believe the members of this site offer very good information and would recommend a search of past discussions to help in your decision. After reading a few opinions, I ended up going with the Nikon Monarch 10x42 ATB and so far I am definitely satisfied. I've had them out in the late evening with low light conditions and have been very impressed. I can free-hand them with little problem and they seem to be comparably light weight. I haven't had any field experience with the "top dogs" (Swaros, etc.) but for under $300 I think the Monarchs are great. The no-fault warranty is also nice. Some of the best advice that i came across was to go somewhere that sells a lot of different brands and try them out for yourself. I noticed right away some of the other brands I tried were not comfortable on my face and/or spacing was an issue. There is a possibility, even if its the best glass, some of binos might not be the best fit for you. The side by side comparisons really helped my confidence in the purchse. Good luck. Thanks to everyone else who helped me make my decision!
