Can I clean brass with a hot primmer?

Not sure if this topic has been covered on here or not but Google didn't help me out much. Long story short I have 150 cases I sized and primmed about four years ago. It looks like there was some kind of oil on them causing them to tarnish. Is it safe to run them through my media tumbler with live primers?
