I've been kicking around the idea of purchasing the Leica Geovid 10x42 HD-B. They have been priced just over $3,000 for quite some time, and then yesterday I get a Cabela's flyer showing them at $1,999.00 I have to admit I was really tempted to run down and grab a pair, but had a couple concerns. Why such a huge drop in price? Are they going to reduce a new version soon? This kind of huge value can kill resale value (feel bad for anyone who just paid three grand) I've owned several pairs of Leicas and I'm sold, just never owned a pair of Geovids. I've used the older version and really liked it, it just bothers me that the warranty is limited to 5 years. When I've spent top dollar on quality glass I've felt better about it with the lifetime warranty. Is the convenience of the Geovid really worth it considering the potential for huge hits to resale value and a very restrictive warranty period? let me know what you think regarding my concerns and please provide your thoughts or reviews on the product. I've checked out several reviews online, but always appreciate the good honest feedback you guys provide. Thanks!

I will keep an eye out for you while I'm fishing the river. I'm in Idaho Falls and hit the South fork quite often. I haven't seen any really big bulls there but do see moose quite often. I'm close by so if you get one down and need help let me know.

Sorry guys I haven't been near a computer for awhile. PRDATR is correct, these are for the M1 Carbine rifles chambered for the 30 carbine round. I used to have a Ruger Black Hawk in 30 carbine and it was one of my favorite handguns.

I have several M1 Carbine magazines I don't need anymore. The one shown is a 15 round mag marked IW. I have a total of four like the one pictured. There's one other that looks the same, but it is stamped IW with a circle around the letters. I also have two others that look just the same with the letter U stamped on them and one other with the letters IP-I. I'd like to get $15.00 each for these. All of these mags look to be in great shape. I'm in Idaho now so I will have to ship them, but will try to keep the shipping cost as low as possible.

I have the T3 version. It's the fieldscope III ED, but rather than two tone, it's all black. Mine is 60mm objective and the eye piece is 15-45. It really is the perfect size for back country hunts and is a high quality scope. Might consider selling it to fund another project. PM me if you think you're interested.
