Last year I asked a question on this site," If you were to buy a custom built rifle which one would you buy and who builds the best rifle on the market . What I found out was that all the custom rifle companys are good, they all produce a good product, but I also had some people say it is better to build your own . The most asked questions to me was how much do you want to spend and what kind of yardage would you like to shoot ? My answer was to stay under $4500.00 and I did not want to shoot more than 800yds. I also decided I did not want to build one that needed a muzzle brake, to much kick and to loud. So I decided on building a custom 308 win. Well after more than one year later here it is, my new custom built 308win. I would personally like to thank 308nut for all his help and advise on building this rifle, without all his knowledge I would still be figuring it all out. Work was done by George Liechty at Precision Shooting Sports, great guy to do business with . 308win H.S. Presision stock bedded Nightforce 5.5-22x50 scope w NF 20moa 1piece base bedded Lija barrel fluted with 11to1 twist, 26in long Jewel trigger set at 1lb pull trued 700 rem action wieghs in fully loaded at 11lbs

bought a rem 700 with the stock and the gunsmith did all the work, give George a call and he can give you a price for the job. I also talked to the guys at Mcmillan and they had some they had already worked on , they were selling them at that time (last year)for $400.00.Do not know if they still have any ,but it is worth a phone call to see if they still have any for sale.

Iwas using plan AA batteries, I have alot of cow elk video of them licking the camera, they all seem to like the flavor of the bear box for the covert camera you sell. -

just to let everyone know I went out and checked my covert I had shooting video and my batteries were dead only took 33 one minute video's. I was hoping the batteries would last a little longer. I think what kills them is the fact that the light comes on while video is being shoot . The night ones are not so good when the animals are far away. But the daytime ones are great . will try to post some of the video later. -

You are keeping a close watch on that bull , would be great to see you have tagged it since you do have a tag. Also great looking hat. By the way your friend George should be sending my package very soon. That is some great looking country up there. -

This is the first time I have heard of anyone else owning a 25-35. As you said your grandparents owned it then , well my grandmothers favorite gun was her 25-35 .She shot many Texas hill country wt with it .A few years ago she gave it to me with 10 boxes of bullets and all are 117gr. I check the price of bullets at the gun shows and find most are around 30 dollars a box. The boxes of bullets she gave me still have the old sale stickers on them and all are under 3 dollars a box. Does the gun have a octogon barrel or smooth round barrel.Might be nice to see some pics of some older guns people on this sight own. I will get it and a couple other guns that have been past down to me from my family a post some pics of them.

Hey guys, We had a blast at the ABA Banquet last night...it started out with me wining the $1,000.00 cash. Then I went and bought $100 in raffle tickets for the commissioners Javelina tag, and WON it!!! I offered it to my dear friend Cookie, but she said no, so I gave it to my wife Kathi, again. I have hunted them enough, and I know she will want to hunt them again like she did last year when I bought her the tag from the Antelope banquet. Our table was really successful in wining items and just had a blast. The ABA really put on a good evening for all. Oh and our own beloved Christian did a great job in selling raffle items and working the live auction.
