I have been up in unit 8 over the past weekends and have seen that the forest service have been going around letting people know they are in none camping areas and also that some were camped to far off the road and were asked to move there trailer to 30 ft from the road.they are also going around and putting road closed stickers on roads that are closed.I saw alot of these on the east side(Mcdougals Flats ) of the unit.They are running around the unit on 4wheelers . Just thought I would post this so everyone hunting up there this elk season should get a map.

I will be helping my friend ,his son has his first turkey hunt .Hopefully we will get him a big o thunder chicken this weekend.I have a tag for the first hunt in unit 8-10 so this will be a good way get some calling in .Hope everyone has a great hunt .Do not forget if youre taking a youth hunting in or around unit 23 the AZ Elk Society with the NWTF will have a camp set up at Colcord camp ground .So come by and say hi.
