Not really hunting associated but thought I would throw this out there since I need my palm trees trimmed. I usually do them every year so they're not all that bad. I have 3 total that need cut. The one in my back yard especially is the one I'm concerned with. I would like to get it cut before I bring my new 5th wheel home. Access is easy and would like it done today if possible. I know that's asking a lot and it's a long shot but thought I would ask. Anyone on here or know someone please call. Home 480-833-1230 or cell 480-710-5702.We normally pay $100 for all three. Thanks! TJ

Trees are about done. Cost was $100 for all three. Mama is a happy camper. When mama is happy things go quite well around here. TJ

Flatlander, I'm flattered but I only hunted elk once in 22S and it was because I wrote down the wrong hunt unit number. Had everybody on my tag mad at me and come to think of it some haven't hunted with me since. I do know a few water holes from scouting it that year, 5 or 6yrs ago, but other than that I do not know the unit like you think. azshr..........pm sent TJ

AZGFD questionnaire
tjhunt2 replied to 257wby's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Just a survey to help put together information that can be helpful in their data base. Everything is about numbers with them. They have done this for as long as I can remember. TJ -
Wow, I wish I lived where I could get out in the evenings. Thanks for posting. You found more this year than I found in the last 5 years. TJ

you guys drew across the road from each other, camp in a central location and hunt each of your units who ever is in the screaming bulls hunt there together, otherwise still hunt, sit water whatever it takes, i would have given anything to hunt with my pops.doesn't really sound like you have a problem you guys have 13 days to get it done.and sit around a campfire and bond even more. Yep that is why we did south and 6a..... we will camp together for sure. I know the bulls always bugle their brains out in south so hopefully they will be going strong in 6a for him!!!!!! And im sure I will spend some time with him or him with me in the field. This is the time I cherish more then anything in the world even though I spend 5 days a week working with my dad he is my best friend and is getting up there in age so I know we might only have another 3 or 4 archery bull elk hunts together if were lucky..... ill enjoy every last miniute of it!!!!! I can tell how you feel about the time you have left with dad and my heart is with you a 100%. That's awesome you will get to make some more memories and it's awesome you are in for another great hunt. Can't wait to see how your hunt plays out. Please post your hunt here. TJ

I knew we had some smart people on here but that tops the list. TJ

If you're new to the area you might want to drive the roads before the season starts and look for turkey sign. They won't be far from there. Try using a coyote howl, crow call, or just slam your door every 1/4 mile or so after dark and listen. I've located many turkeys in this way. Just a couple things that might help locate your tom. Be in the area 1 hr before daylight and sit up. If that tom isn't disturbed he might roost back in the same tree that night but not always. Good luck! Read more off the internet about locating turkeys. TJ

tjhunt2 replied to Jay Scott's topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
Thanks for sharing Darr and thanks Jay for posting. Peg and I are really getting excited for her hunt next month. Good to see Parker getting some turkey talk in. Going to be just like his dad. Awesome to see that. TJ -

Thanks for the compliment. It looks as if this tent is sold. I told the buyer if he wasn't happy I would refund all his money. TJ ps....... sorry Amanda but you know I will still put another camp site up for the Women's Javy Camp. It was a good ride while it lasted but the new camp site will be even better. TJ

I've had this tent for about 5yrs and only used it about twice a year. I wish I knew how to post the Trek Tent home page but I'm not that computer smart. There's a picture in Amanda's picture's for her Women's Javelina Camp photos since I set it up for the women's camp every year. It's in very good condition with no tears. Since my wife won't tent camp anymore I have no use for this size tent. I will be down sizing to a much smaller 2 person tent. If someone knows how to post up the web site for Trek Tents I would greatly appreciate it. It's listed on Amazon for $620.00. Heavy Duty Cotton 245C 7 Person 12' x 9' Straight Wall Canvas Base Camp Tent With Custom Wrap Around Fly Cover Thanks for looking. TJ

Finally we have one of our own on board. Congratulations Amanda on being appointed by the Governor as our new commissioner to serve a 5yr term with the azgfd. You're one of the hardest working persons I know and it's going to be a challenge but we here at cwt are behind you all the way. I just hope this doesn't mean we won't be hearing less of you on here. Them poor owls will miss their feeding times since your surveys will be cut short. Congratulations my friend! TJ

How to bring about a consistent draw result release date
tjhunt2 replied to Xnt's topic in Elk Hunting
I do believe we would have had the results out by now if the g&f hadn't taken the time to go the extra mile to give a lot of applicants the benefit of the doubt in trying to make it right for them. I have mixed emotions but feel those applicants who had credit card problems because of no fault of their own do deserve a chance to have it corrected. Some of you don't think they deserve a chance and others will forever thank the g&f for their efforts. I commend the azgfd for their relentless effort in trying to do the right thing even at the expense of us wanting to know our results early. TJ -
What is the most efficient way to learn a new unit?
tjhunt2 replied to SHeap's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
The most effectiveness could be to become friends with someone who knows it well. Help pay for gas, buy breakfast, don't ask to bring your friends along and open his beers around the campfire at the end of the day but let him wipe his own @$$ though because that could get messy. JMHO! TJ
