The best steak I ever ate was on the Jackshoe Ranch north of Roosevelt Lake. It was cooked by my good friend Ted Bounds, aka jackshoe, but as far as who has the best steaks around this state it has to go to my wife Peg. No one will ever compare and I'll bet my life on it. Not only are they the best it comes with sautéed mushrooms and onions and all the beer you can drink. Did I mention it's free? TJ

A huge congratulations to Jaycie on tagging her first turkey. The pictures are awesome to say the least and the write up was great. Sounds as if everyone had a good time. I love these type of post and it doesn't get any better than having the young hunters out there where god intended them to be. Great job of that Phil and I know how proud you must have been when she gave that bird a dirt nap. I can just picture you running over to get the bird as it was flopping on the ground. The shell swop was worth it according to Jaycie but if I were you Phil I would be looking out for years to come. LoL Thanks for sharing. TJ

ttt for a good deal. TJ

Great write up. Kudos for passing on the turkey when some guys would have shot and not cared about hitting another bird. Sounds like the perfect Mother's Day for you and your mom. Glad you got to spend it with your daughter as well. Thanks for sharing. TJ

My deepest condolences Lark. I'm sure your dad is in them happy hunting grounds in the sky and looking down on you and feeling mighty proud of the man you have become. There's no doubt you've been missed on here Lark and in your own time I would like for you to share a few stories of the hunts you and dad shared together. Thoughts and prayers for family, friends, and for you Lark as you grieve the loss of your dad. TJ

Glad to see things are coming along Marvin. I'm waiting to see how my schedule at work will be. I probably will be there with my wife. We had a blast last year at the cwt table and the food was outstanding not to mention my wife won a gun. Thanks for the reminder. TJ

Now that is the kind of story I like to wake up to while drinking a cup of coffee. Congratulations to your dad and big kudos to the both of you for releasing that fish to continue the spawn. Class act right there. TJ

Could it have been their camp? I sometimes use my double bull as my camp. TJ

Congratulations on your bird. I think that's awesome but what makes a new state record? I didn't know they recorded such a thing. Is it weight, length of beard, length of spur or how many feathers it has? Whatever it is my congratulations to you. TJ

Boy have I been waiting for this. Congratulations Brian. I had a really good feeling you were going to pull it off but I didn't want to jinx ya. Great write up and thanks for sharing. Sounds like you hit the right spot. I've decided I am going to start putting in for the goulds from now on. Might need your help down the road in the future. I take it your brother didn't have a tag. Way to ground check that bird. TJ
