Last years SCI banquet was so must fun and a great way to relax in the heat we a thought we would try it again this year. SCI has helped on Amanda's Women's Javelina Hunting Camps and this is one way we can give back for all they do for cwt. Here are a few pictures from last year. Come join us! Where else can you enjoy the cool water and the best pool side service available for $100 a night. Mark and I chillin out before the banquet. Roger, Ilene and Amanda taking advantage of the pool side. This was the after banquet room service set up. Late night happy hour. This place is nothing but first class. What a discount SCI got for all the banquet goers. See ya there. TJ -
The only other cwt member I knew there was Gary, aka Elkaholic, and thanks for coming over and talking with Peg. It's always a pleasure to see you. Glad you won a couple prizes. TJ

Well, the NWTF banquet went well with some great food. It was all you could eat and there were enough prizes for just about everyone to win something except me. That's ok because I never win a thing but knowing that my money was going to help out with our az turkey population was the main reason I was there anyways. My sister and brother-in-law sat with Peg and I along with Ammon and his family. Ammon's two boys are the cutest little guys and very entertaining. So glad you joined us Ammon along with your wife and boys at our table. Your box calls sound awesome and the quality of work you put in to each of your calls is the reason why. Thank you Mark and Kathi Nixon for all your hard work and all the other NWTF members who worked the floor to make it a successful and fun night for all the folks and kids that were there. Can't wait for next years banquet. TJ

This post got me laughing at something similar that happened to me but I will have to leave it for the camp fire. Oh what the he!!, might as well tell the story. Back in my younger day when I couldn't get past a certain bar before getting home from work I met a guy by the name of Rene. We were talking about different ways of cooking javelina and I told him I would invite him over the next time I was cooking a pig. He wrote on a bar napkin and he meant to say Javelina cook out and then signed his name Rene with his phone number. He evidently didn't know how to spell javelina so he wrote " Have cook out, Rene" and his phone #. The second o in cook came out looking like a c and my wife found it in my wallet. lmao when she told me she called the number and a guy answered but she hung up without asking for Rene. I still laugh about it every time I think about it. TJ ps......I'm still not sure she believed me.

Lost Heeler Mix Prescott Valley Update!!!!! He came home this morning!!!!!
tjhunt2 replied to PAugie17's topic in Lost and Found
I love good endings like this. Here is another that happened while I was elk hunting this year along the Control Road. I fellow hunter came in to my camp and said he had lost his shepherd dog and had been looking for him for 3 days with 1 sighting but the dog ran from him when he tried to call it. He gave me his card and I said I would get the word out to all the hunters I came in contact with. The owner went home to break the news to the family and quit hunting due to what had happened to the family dog. I had decided to run down to my trailer on Sat and was pumping gas in Parson when I get a call from a near by camp that said a dog by this description was seen at Bear Springs along the Highline trail. The dog ran from them and looked scared. I immediately called the owner at home and told him what had been relayed to me. The owner called me the next day and said he traveled back up near my camp and found his dog in my camp. His family was ecstatic and had given up all hope that the coyotes had gotten him. TJ -
