Two weeks worth of trail cam pics
tjhunt2 replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Gino, thanks for reassuring me that there are bulls in 22s. Awesome pictures and thanks for getting my blood pressure going this morning. TJ -
Don't you have to put in and be drawn for the unit if you win? I'm confused as always.
-
Thanks to everyone who shared pictures and the video was good. It is a reminder that we all must be careful and thanks to all the hard fire fighters on and those behind the scene we never here of. TJ

That is an awesome picture. Brings back memories. Thanks for sharing.

I just ran across your story you wrote on the trip with your Dad and would like to say I was touched by it. Thanks for sharing with us all. My Dad is 78 and also tells me he is done with hunting because he can't give it all he can like when he was younger. I continue to put him in for elk and I tell him to only do what he can and that's all. He could only hunt 1 out of every 3rd or 4th day last year but gave it his all. He drew another elk tag this year and I look foward to the times I sit with him in the blind holding his bow for him and waking him up as critters approach. My heart was with you on your story and may you have many more Dad outtings. Keep baiting the hook and remember you're still making memories. TJ

Thanks for sharing and please keep us posted on any updates. TJ

Congrats from me also. Good luck on your hunt and get a bigger mail box.

It sure makes me feel good that these animals have water during this dry spell. It seems game & fish gets hammered more than they get any positive feed on this site and it's refreshing that we have the catchments to enjoy these pictures from. No, I don't like the high license fees and some other issues that goes on but I do care and like alot they do for us. TJ

Mighty fine lookin buck. I have one with the crab claws but doesn't score as much as yours. Nice and thanks for sharing with us all.

Thanks for sharing. There's nothing like turkey hunting to get the blood flowing. Did you hunt on Dorthy's place?
-
How much for the pig license and do they need their shots every year like our dogs do? Do you sell the piggies?
-
The pigs got me all excited but I missed the spike horn everyone was talking about. I had my mind on them juicy hind quarters instead. Can you imagine just how good that young bull would be. TENDER! Wouldn't pass on a chance like that of a life time for anything but javelina meat. Where in 22s?????

Alpine/Greer area cabins???
tjhunt2 replied to Kilimanjaro's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Scottyboy, my wife and I have fished this time of year the last several years up around Greer and I think you wouldn't be disappointed with Big Lake. It's higher and cooler than others. Not to far from there is Reservation Lake but you will need a res. license. I'm told the road to Winn Campground is closed for the summer due to the road construction. Bill, John Romer, from the Arizona Fly Shop rented Christmas Tree Lake out yesterday and the fishing was slow. I believe you are allowed 30 people and it usually is rented out this time of year thru the next couple months. The road also is a little rough getting in. TJ -

It doesn't get any better than that. That is a fine looking buck. I'm with Gino, I'm always more excited when someone you're helping scores after hours of hunting. Congratulations are well in order. -
You're telling me! This is how I got so run down and old.

tjhunt2 replied to MARV's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Yes Mike, you're right! Not quite as good as pig but it ranks right up there. WOW, will you look at the size of them there ears. Anyone have any idea of what it might score? Thataboy Marv and don't dare tell anyone on here where your honey hole is. Congratulations on a fine looking animal. -

Might change my tune after shooting a few more animals w/ my bow, but for now, as someone who's pretty green, that's the way it is. The smaller the horns the sweeter the meat. That's because the older they get they tend to pee all over themselves and roll in it once a year. Must be true, saw it in a video the other day.
