Gino, what a great couple of nice looking bucks you and Jason have there. I've shot my share over the years but nothing like either of them. That gives me an idea of showing my little ones off some time. Good luck in 08 and I hope you both top them ones. That's going to be hard to beat but if anyone can do it my money's on you two. TJ

Stalker, I know just how you felt. It has been a few years since my last cat sighting and it is a rare moment that most never get the opportunity to witness. I have been very lucky with 11 sightings and the wife has seen 4. I swear I could feel your excitement in the thread. Thanks for pumping me up and sharing that with us. TJ

Seeing Austin glassing for pigs just puts a smile on my ugly mug. That is what I'm talking about. Get them younguns out there yearly and make the best of the time when you can. Thanks for sharing and good hunting with Austin. TJ

Ted bought his bow at the end of Nov and this is his first ever bow kill. It was pretty exciting after finding the pig in a cave. It would charge everytime we approached and he missed his first two shots at 5 yards. After killing the pig we then had the fun of trying to get him out of there. Ted Bounds had been a cowboy for years working cattle on several ranches and ask me how we were going to get the pig out. With a rope and a very longgggggggg tree branch I told Ted this wasn't my first Javelina Rodeo. Here are results. TJ

That was nice of you to put Dad's picture on here and he said to thank you Mike. He is 78 and had to burn his 07 elk tag and his 08 pig tag because he no longer could get his bow drawn back. He refuses to drop the poundage in fear of wounding an animal. He is going to have to switch over this year to rifle hunting. He also is my best friend and the best hunter I have had the priviledge of learning under. Love ya Dad and many more years of hunting to come. TJ

Cool Thing Happened While Pig Hunting
tjhunt2 replied to KidBowHunter's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Yes, Mike is right. I would say to write it down. I've been away from here for a few months but finally got a chance to get back on here. That had to be a rush for you Troy. I once had a 2 lions walk up to my blind and I thinned the population out. Do write it down because you will forget as the years go passing by. TJ -
I know what you mean about scared. My friend hunted archery for the first time and we got one in a cave that would charge out at us every time we approached for a shot. He missed his first two shots at 6ft but was finally successful in harvesting his first bow kill. We were both running from that pig more than once. I finally had to climb into the cave since I was the smallest of us two and for those who know me know I'm not little. It doesn't get any better than helping someone being successful. TJ

So, how many has old Eagle Eye shot since it is so easy. Their eye sight is actually better than one might think. It is only because their eyes are so close tho the ground and they can't see over the vegetation. Don't let Eagle Eye take anything away from your success. Congratulations! TJ

Congratulations on your pigs. It is good to have someone to offer a helping hand. I bet Clay felt just as excited as you two were to have had success. Good job Clay. TJ

Congratulations on your first pig. Yes, archery javelina is a blast and it just happens to be my favorite thing to hunt. Your piture is great and keep up the pig hunting tradition. I tried calling pigs in this year for a first timer and showed him how you can successfully make javelina reach the opposite side of a canyon in less than 2 minutes. Thanks for sharing.

That is quite a year you had. Congrat. and keep us posted on your next success. Great JOB! TJ

Congratulations on your deer and thanks for letting me share that hunt as I drank 4 cups of coffee waiting for the shot this morning. I've been gone from the site for a few months and what a way to jump back on here with your success, pictures, and great story. You are amazing! Thanks again for sharing with us! TJ

A big Happy Birthday to you Amanda. I hope this year is a great one for ya. You deserve a big thank you for what you have done with this site. -
Is Frankie for hire? What a great start to hunting. I'm sure someone has had a hand in prepping this fine young man. Great video as well. Congratulation and good luck on your future hunts. Keep up the good work. TJ

You should be proud! That is a nice deer for your son on his first hunt. Congratulations to you both and get your son in the habit of writing down this hunt for future camp fire stories. How much have you forgotten? That's what I'm talking about. Write it down! Great picture. TJ

Wow, the picture says it all. Brought back memories back in the day when i shot my first. Congratulations to this up-n-coming coues hunter. TJ

Congrat. on your buck. That is one nasty looking foot. Did he have to get a rabies shot after getting bit by the deer? Always make sure it's dead before kicking it. TJ

Let them think that's you and she can take all the #@!^ you are going to hand these boys. Good job with that Jim> TJ
