Thanks for sharing the pics with us. How old are they? Nice looking dogs. I had two labs but both have since gone on to better hunting grounds in the ski. Took my mutt to the park today and now she smells like canal water. The wife just bathed her a few days ago and wasn't happy with the smell but I had to let her chase the ducks. TJ

Friday the 11th @ 8 pm on channel 12 will be the Miss USA Pageant. Join me in wishing Kimberly Joiner good luck in representing Arizona for the Miss USA title. Kimberly is my niece and I along with about 40 other friends and family will be in attendance at the Miss USA Pageant held at the Planet Hollywood Casino, in Vegas, to determine who goes on to Miss Universe. I will be wearing my coueswhitetail t-shirt under my shirt & tie just in case she would happen to win so I can advertise on national TV for Amanda. I'm sure I can get a picture in there somewhere. TJ ps....those who know me knows she gets her looks from me. Casey.....she's single!

CnS.....thanks Gino, we are all proud of her and no matter how the dice rolls, in Vegas, for her would just be a bonus. She feels very fortunate to have gotten that far. I was going to train her myself but thought she wouldn't be able to keep up with old Uncle Tom. 13 yrs? Congratulations! You must be doing something right if you haven't run her off yet. Chrissy????? where did that come from? I bet Gino nailed that one on ya huh? Casey.......I'm forwarding all your pm's directly to her. LOL She might even skip the pageant in hopes of finding you before someone else gets ya.

GRONG...thanks for sharing them great pics of you with the sheds. If only I lived closer to the rim country and not here in this valley. Days off don't come never to soon during this time of year. Keep sharing your finds with us. TJ

Keith.....great picture of the kids and a big congratulation on your daughter's first fish. You have got to start a journal and let her write it down. Can you see it now, about 25 years from now, how proud she will be of this day that she would otherwise have forgotten. Thanks for sharing! Casey......I was gagging? was that last year? TJ

Don't get all confused and worked up over all the different loads. Go to Wal Mart and buy a turkey load in #2 or #4. I prefer #2 but #4 will do the trick just the same. You know how close you must be. Have a great time and share pics when you get back. TJ

IMO,,,,I shot several turkeys with fixed blades before I figured it out. I never recovered a single bird until I went with expanded blades. There are many on the market and your son difinitely needs to shot some to see which ones will fly true out of his bow since each shoots different. Don't worry about shooting thru the netting and just put on camo and stay dark and you won't have any problem. I hunt out of the double bull blind and don't have a problem with turkeys seeing me in my blind. I have shot my last three turkeys with archery and expanded blades are the way to go. Start out trying the vortex 100 gr. 2 1/2" blade opening. Good luck on your hunt. TJ

How come you never mentioned this to me before man!!! Casey I think you might be underestimating the Payson gene! Them some angry people up there. The aint sure if they are desert folk or pine folk so they get angered easily and take it out on everybody TJ

I'll be taking coueswhitetail fishing at Roosevelt & San Carlos this week to display my new sticker. Got one coming for the trailer as well. Is this the first sticker to hit the water?

quote name='CouesWhitetail' post='97010' date='Mar 23 2008, 12:29 PM']Your fishing permit entitles you to camp also. But you can always call the dept to double check. Or ask the people where you buy the permit. And remember that the permits expire at midnight, they don't run 24 hrs from the time you bought it. So for one overnight you need two permits. Nice sticker! and as far as I know yours is the first on a boat! Awesome! Amanda Amanda....FYI.... just thought you might like to know that the fishing license I purchased for San Carlos lake, last week, was good for 24 hrs from the time I bought it. It ran me $65 for 4days including the boat permit. They must have changed since you last looked. $10 per day/ valid 24 hours of time of purchase camping included $6.25 per day boat permit and not the $10 stated on their web page

Lets See your Loading Bench
tjhunt2 replied to GameHauler's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
GH....is the Round-Up your lubrication or does that just keep your stuff rounded up so you don't have to look far for things? Hope you enjoy reloadeding the casings I left you while turkey scouting this past Monday. Scouting was very successful. Lots of turkeys this year. Your bench is coming along but I know you will change it a dozen times before you are happy with it. TJ -
Great choice in bows. My friend bought the exact bow in Nov. and is shooting really well with it. We shot at Archery Headquarters today and if you ever get a chance stop in and shoot their dart game with real animals on the screne. It's a blast. Congratulations on your set up. TJ

I just came home from a 3hr turkey seminar at Bass Pro, put on by Marvin Robbins. It was really informative. He put on a 2 day seminar this last weekend in unit 23 and his students got to see over 100 turkeys and lots of gobblers talking. Azgf also were up there and trapped a lot of turkeys to relocate in other not so popular areas. Now's the time to get out and witness some of Az's best turkey action. Good luck to everyone who has a tag. TJ

A friend of mine drew 3 unit 9 rifle bull tags the last 3 years and a unit 10 rifle bull tag this year with 0 bonus points every year. . Go figure! TJ

Yes, a friend of mine saw some gobblers doing their thing last week near young. I was out yesterday with a friend scouting and saw several turkeys and found a bed room of 4 roost trees. Bingo! It was also nice seeing a heard of 8 mule deer which I haven't seen in this area for some time. A few elk were seen as well. It was a good day. TJ
