Happy Birthday and may you have 50 more. TJ -

Okay I got to ask, why are pigs your favorite to hunt. I aint maken fun or nothing, just curious. I have never heard any one say pigs are there favorite. After messing up the first pig, I shot, in the oven and throwing it away my wife and I finally settled on a way that we both just love and that is to make sausage from them. I can't get enough! After hunting hard all year for other game with many hours of sitting and stocking you finally get to hunt something you can skyline yourself walking ridges and not get busted but most of all I get to sit and glass which is my next to favorite thing to do. I've only missed two years of not taking one since 1976 and they were due to me helping others and giving up my hunt. All have been archery except for my first.Temperature is usually nice and archery runs for weeks which give you time to not rush. Those who have hunted them know how exciting it can get, specially from a varmit calling experience. I have a ton of pig stories but will not bore you any more. Happy hunting! TJ

Have a good one! TJ

Thanks for the pic. These are my favorite to hunt out of all the big game we have in AZ. I'll be going after my 31st next month and will be hunting an area I've never hunted before. Got my 3rd choice unit 37B/33 and can't wait to see some new country. Good luck to all the pig hunters. TJ

SHORT Mearns hunt!
tjhunt2 replied to firstcoueswas80's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Casey/Scotty.....You guys are killing me. My good friend Ted Bounds, jackshoe member name, has been on me to go down that way and hunt some mearns. After your pics and story I have got to try it. Jackshoe has a vesla and him and I have never hunted the mearns before. I'm not looking for your place to hunt but someone told him they saw alot around Patagonia Lake while deer hunting this year. Do they exist there in numbers? Thanks Great story and pictures Casey/Scotty. TJ -
Great picture and congrats on your first. Not that it matters but that is twice the size of my first. TJ

Doug, some of my memorable hunts had an unfilled tag left in my pocket after the hunt and the memories of each sun rising morning and sunset evenings have still stayed fresh in my head. Thanks for sharing yours with us. TJ

One of the nicest deer taken so far this year and there has been some big ones harvested. Congrats, and I could only hope to get something as close as that. Thanks for sharing. No matter what it scores it is a dandy of a buck. TJ

I just made my call and the lady explained how the whole proccess was going to happen. She also said that if it went thru it would be put in place next fall. TJ TJ do you mind giving us a quick explanation of what she told you on how the process is supposedly gonna work? Well, I'm not to good at remembering exactly how it was put but it went something like this. All the calls will be given to the commissioner on how you sided. In a couple weeks or so they will decide if they need to write the rule and if decide the rule would benefit the animals then a rule will be put together. Then it will be put out for public notice for comments if we approve or not. Then it could be sent to the attorney general's office and if approved there then it comes back for the commissioner to approve or disapprove. She said it hasn't been written yet and it difinitely is not a done deal. Our input will be a big factor on the commissioners ruling. Now don't quote me but you can call her and ask her to explain it to you and I bet I got it all wrong. CRS- can't remember sh*& TJ
