Well, let's see what I could wish for Jim. He already has the perfect job of working for an outstanding outfitter, can catch fish and big ones to boot, is well liked by everyone, and takes the best pictures, ect. Can't think of a thing he hasn't got going for him so I'm stuck with just a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISH. Hope your day has been full of good things. TJ

+1 hehehe If I hadn't witnessed it first hand I would have said the same thing you all are saying after looking at the pictures. A real good friend of mine has been on a few lion hunts with Steve Smith, well known houndsman from Round Valley, and he said it appears lion to him. He will show the pictures to Steve and see what he has to say. This is a picture of where the javelina was drug from and the whatever pissed here and buried it. It was piled up like a house cat does but I distrurbed it before the picture. It was 28 deg. and that is why I think there weren't any tracks I could make out clear. I don't think I was smoken anything? TJ

I was unable to find a single track. To bad I didn't have dogs or I might have put my 09 tag on this critter. TJ

Bummer guy! Sounds like you were alone. If you haven't found him by now he will be spoiled by morning unless you are in really cold temps. Try and find a few buddies who can go with you tomorrow and look again. That buck deserves to be tracked to the best of your ability and just maybe with some help you will pick up the trail again. I've been very fortunate to have some good trackers help me in situations like that and an extra set of eyes is a blessing no matter how good a tracker you are. Game Hauler found my buck last year when I just couldn't put it together and you need to give it another try even if it might be spoiled by now. Good luck and keep us posted. TJ
