I just don't know what I'm going to do with another lion. I was wondering if it was legal for me to sell it and what it might be worth. Does anyone have any idea? I haven't got any info back from game amd fish but they were thinking it was a 3 or 4 year old female. I skinned it out for a rug mount and I have it in my freezer. I was told it could still be mounted in a full mount as well. I don't have a clue. Here are a few pictures.

Thanks Jim, I'll keep that option open. That lion looks great. TJ

If anyone is interested I'm asking $500 for my lion. It is froze in the freezer and I'm looking to sell it so I can put the money towards a new bow for my up coming elk and antelope tags that are coming in the mail. I've had several offers to have it mounted for me but don't really need another mount. Just don't have any room. TJ

What about a New Topic?
tjhunt2 replied to gonhntn's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Small Game, Upland Bird and Waterfowl Hunting. I like the new revised topic for sure. There are alot of coues/bird hunters on this site that will be pleased with it. This could be an opportunity for a fellow bird hunter to visit this site, thru a member, and become addicted to CouesWhitetail.com. like most of us are and perhaps become a sponsor or a donor. Great idea Doug on amending the title. TJ -
Thanks Clay, that is some good information to be sharing for those who own or have friends who own them. I will be sending this to a friend of mine who shoots a bowtech. TJ

What tricks have you learned from other in camp?
tjhunt2 replied to scoutm's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
For a sure fire starter fill an empty tin can full of gas and push the dirt up around it. Then stack your fire wood around it and then light it with a match or lighter. The key is to keep the can completely full. Only the gas fumes will burn and it won't blow up like gas thrown on your wood. It will burn for a long time and will get your wet wood going. Gas doesn't burn/just the fumes. Try it and you will be amazed. If it scares you then throw the match in on the can. I thought the guy was insane the first time I witnessed it myself. TJ -
That has to be the greatest picture of all times right there. Awesome find! Congratulations my friend. TJ

Amanda, I also have a pair of the old motorola talk-a-bout radios and so far they have been alright but big and heavy to carry around compared to the new ones. I'm still not completely satisfied with them. I use them while traveling and on most of my hunts and they work as long as you aren't in a valley or behind a mountain. I paid $200 a piece for them and they are not worth that IMO. My friend has a pair of midlands, under $100, and they work about the same and about 1/4th of the cost. I would be happy to lone you my motorola talk-a-bouts so you could compare them with another pair of radios of your choice before you spend your money. With the crappies starting to bite, I will be traveling thru Globe and will be more than happy to drop the radios off to you. Just let me know if you would like to try them out. TJ

Congratulations to Colton on a beautiful buck. Gino.... you guys are get'n it done for sure. TJ -
Thanks for sharing Amanda. The more I see pics from the covert the more I want one. Looks like you got a good place to capture some great pictures once you get the cam repositioned. Try backing it up a little if that's possible. Any word on when covert is coming out with their new economic version? Wow, a lion and bobcat has got to be exciting. I hope someday to just get one or the other. TJ

Aplications & the Economy
tjhunt2 replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I know a few who was effected to the point that they didn't put in or buy a bonus point this year. I wish I had the money to help out those who couldn't have. Years ago when I was out of work my wife just about killed me when times were bad and I took the house payment and made sure the permits got in. I still have that same priority today. I think somehow those who have it in their blood, as bad as me, will continue to find a way. I missed one year of putting in for big horn years ago, due to being out of work, and it has haunted me ever since. I will sell the house, the truck, the wife, " well maybe not the wife", but everything else if I have to. TJ -
Has anyone else ever wondered???
tjhunt2 replied to coueschaser3's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Well , I thought everyone knew the answer to this one. Unit 14 was an awesome unit, with lots of game, until Huntn coues's daughters turned legal hunting age and just wiped out the whole unit of any game. Game and fish had no choice but to eliminate the unit from the map. TJ -
Gino.....nice write up on the girls and congratulations Troy to your daughter on her pig. Them girls really did the job this year. Good job Dad! TJ

Congratulations on your bobcat. I'm jinxed! Can't get one! Thanks for sharing. TJ

tjhunt2 replied to IHunt2live's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Amanda, I have heard there is some mearns on the San Carlos as well as the Whiteriver Indian Res as well. Jackshoe and I are going to look into that. Jackshoe has a friend who hunts both for bear and lion on both. We just need to get off our butts and follow up on it. Do you see many on the San Carlos? TJ -
Here's how I look at that. If I never draw another one I have been blessed and will not cry in my beer. WelllllllMaybe! TJ

A big congratulations to your son on the begining of a lifetime of outdoor adventures to come. Do you ever take any pictures other than in front of the garage door? Just wondering what that is all about. Thanks for sharing your pics and stories. TJ
