One of the worst types of posts to make...

Sorry to hear about your loss Casey. I know how you and the rest of the family must feel. I had to put 2 labs down and a cat that was over 20yrs old. It's never easy. They do become family members and my heart goes out to you and your family. TJ -
I saw the same one last Thursday around 3:45pm, coming back from turkey scouting, and posted then but no one responed. Who might this be? TJ

Congratulations on your goulds tag. I have been wating for some answers on here with interest. If I had plans on mounting him I would leave him whole and wipe off as much blood as possible then put paper towel, toilet paper, or something of the sort in his mouth to stop any blood or fluids from leaking. Keep the feathers as straight as possible and wrap him in a plastic garbage bag and place him on ice. You can make a little incision and remove the inerds but that isn't neccessary. Some will say it's not good to place it in a garbage bag becuese it will not let the heat out and this is true but not if it is going directly into the ice chest. Dedicate an ice chest just for your bird. You won't have to rush home and it will keep just fine for several days. On that note I would also suggest calling your taxidermist and ask how he would like you to take care of it. Good luck on your hunt. TJ

I have been leaning towards a rino and was wondering if any members here have them and what are their response to all the media. Were the accidents reckless on behave of the drivers or are they really that bad? It's got me thinking ranger after all the hype. Anyone care to offer their opion? TJ

Just got home from work and watched the video and had to call the wife in to see it. We were both cracking up at her reaction. My wife just drew her first bull tag and I could just picture that being my wife's reaction for sure. Great job on the camera and thanks for sharing. TJ

Congratulations to the hunter and thanks for sharing the pics. Awesome! Congratulations to Randy on the winning bid as well. Take care of your Dad Christian and tell him I wish him well on his lion hunt. Waiting for the pictures. TJ TJ

Casey, congrats. on you and your Dad's bucks. Looks like Scotty did a great job. Thanks for sharing and good luck with the new job. TJ -
Kent, that was very gracious and unselfish of you to offer your help to another fellow hunter and of deserthntr as well. I would like to think that this site is about helping others and I have come to dislike the word E-SCOUTER. Not everbody has the means or the funds and this site has some of the best information available to those. On that note I would also like to say that we have some of the best outfitters, as sponsors here on coueswhitetail, for those who choose to go that route. Coues79...shoot a bigen and post your pics and story after your hunt. Good luck my friend! TJ

I agree Stanley on this one for sure. Thanks to all the organizations, Terry, & helpers that make this all possible. This is a great way for G&F to promote new hunters and with everyone's help in this I can't see this being nothing but a win win situation. Dang, I wish I wasn't working that weekend. Good luck to all the youth hunters but most of all be safe and have fun. TJ

Just got back from scouting the up coming spring turkey hunt in unit 22 and saw a flat bed work truck on Mt. Ore around 4pm with CouesWhitetail sticker in the back window. It was along the north side were everyone was working on fixing the road. Yes, I was excited cause it was my first sticker sighting ever. Who was it? TJ

It's only natural that your wife would worry about her brother. My prayers go out to her and her brother. Take care my friend. TJ

What a great picture having the little one along on the hunt. Nice gobbler! TJ

I really like it. I can't even program my cell phone, but this thing is really easy to use. I got it from Amanda on here. Thanks for your reply. TJ

Wider or taller? Which is better?
tjhunt2 replied to swcouesfanatic's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I've shot both and I don't know what that has to do with the taste. Yes, most on here think trophy size matters but that is only in the eyes of the beholder so that is out of the guestion. I prefer both on my grill. Now what was the guestion again? TJ -
Bill, I agree. I look forward to meeting you some day. TJ
