Congratulations on a beautiful buck and the pictures are outstanding. Colorado is a beautiful state with alot to offer. Thanks for sharing. TJ

I was fortunate to call a bear in for myself and made a kill and haven't really wanted to kill another but have called in a few for friends. I used the circe cottontail. I think I'm getting the itch to do it again after seeing some nice trail cam pictures. Calling for 45 minutes to an hour is the key. Good luck! TJ

Awesome pictures and thanks for sharing but it really makes me sad knowing I'll never be able to do what you just done. Congratulations! TJ

Wish I could help but was only in the area once into Pine Mountain and it was rough but saw lots of critters. Good luck on your hunt and keep us posted on your success. TJ -
Can't wait to hear the whole story but glad he is alright and thanks to all the members here and on other sites for their prayers. I like happy endings. TJ

Working second shift gives me time to look at this site at work but I can't respond till I get home and it kills me. What a great bull and story. Congratulations and the pictures of this bull are really good. Wow! TJ

Welcome to one of the best web sites on the market. I'm sure you won't regret becoming a sponsor here and I will stop in at Bear Mountain and let them know how excited I am of them joining up. TJ

Congratulations on a very nice bull. I know how excited you must have been. I would be to. Great that you thanked all your help. TJ

That truely is a large cow. You will be eating good for a long time. Glad to see your Dad on your hunt and sorry to hear his hips are giving him trouble. I'm sure he was in pain but was proud to be there with you for sure. Tell your Dad there isn't anything wrong with just being in camp and let him always know how important it is to have him around and to show your love and appreciation for all he's done in life for ya. If he just sleeps and sits around the fire or goes to bed early it's ok and we all will be there some day sooner than we want. It's part of life I don't like but it's life. Thanks for finally posting the pictures. Sounds like a great hunt. TJ

That's one good looking picture of the two boys. I bet they hated to have to go to school after all that fun. Does Daniel shoot the bow as well? Just wondering what we have to look forward to in success stories if he's as good as his brother. You have got to be one proud Dad. Thanks for sharing. TJ

God Bless Daniel for accepting Christ and what better place for a baptism among all the things the Lord has created for us in the great outdoors. Amen! TJ

There was a Shooting on the North Rim
tjhunt2 replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
What's left to say? As always, great job and thanks for sharing with us Doug I like Paul's, Amanda's husband, idea of a photo class from Doug. We could make it another coueswhitetail.com party or pot luck. I certainly could use some pointers and a better camera. TJ -
Them are all good looking bucks and thanks for sharing with us Lance. I look forward to seeing some of your elk hunt success stories of this year as well. Please keep us posted and continued good luck on the rest of the year's hunts. TJ

Bobby's 1st Archery AZ Bull 340"
tjhunt2 replied to azcouesfanatic's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I don't know how you held it all together with that huge bull being so close. Coingratulations on one fine looking trophy. TJ -
Congratulations and one great looking bull. What a way to start out on your quest for the big ten. TJ

I'm glad this was brought up and I was pretty stupid during this last couple of days archery hunting up under the rim when I got cought 2 days in a row with lightning striking all around my ground blind. I could have gotten out way earlier but had the feeling my buck would come in at any time and stayed to long and then thought the quad ride would have been more dangerous that sitting there. I had decided if it was going to happen then I wouldn't feel it and I went happy doing what I love to do. PLEASE DON'T BE AS STUPID AS I WAS! Get out when it's coming and think of what you might put your family though if it happened. TJ

Stanley, that looks like a great day of fun. Makes me wish I was in on that one. It's great you are getting the little ones in on the hunting and making it fun at the same time. Thanks for sharing and them doves sure are making me hungry. Awesome! TJ

I haven't measured any bulls I've ever shot so I'll probably be off a mile but I think it would be lucky to hit the 300" mark. 280"ish, actually the first thing I look at is the steaks that could come off the critter. TJ

Carrying a side arm while bow hunting?
tjhunt2 replied to king4wd's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
King4wd, my advise for you would be to contact G&F yourself and ask for the ruling on this or even go there if you live close by and have them show you the law. The G&F Hunt Draw Information booklet is only information and is not a legal document. Even though you can obtain information on back post here it's always better to get it from the horses mouth. I carried one the last day of my hunt because of some foot traffic that concerned me. It's a good rule to have in these times. Good luck on your hunts. TJ -
Josh, thanks for sharing the hunt and story with us here on coues.com. For most of us it will be as close as we get to an Alaskan hunt. Great pictures and a congratulations to the hunter. You're a fortunate person to experience such beautiful. I'm so jealous! TJ

My congratulations to you and your son on his first kill. He looks so proud and I know you were also proud of the moment you both shared on his first kill. It won't be long now before you will be helping him carry out his first big game trophy. Thanks for sharing! TJ

Thought I would give the site one more look before calling it a day and boy am I glad I did. Angie, you just made my day reading Tracey's story and looking at the awesome pictures. I am so proud of you and to think you did it with a bow is fantastic. Congratulations on one of the most beautiful bucks I've seen this year. As I read the story I could hardly wait to get to the end to see the pictures. I didn't want to peak before I had it read. Amanda is right Angie, "YOU ROCK!" Tracey.....congratulations to you on turning Angie on to the hunting world. Her excitement and love for the sport just shows you did an awesome job of bringing her thru all the stages it takes to get to this point of her becoming a successful archery hunter. Thanks again for the pictures and story. ps......Tracey, as I was coming to the end of the story I just kept thinking you were going to say, after she made her shot, "will you marry me?" TJ

Sorry about your valuables. I just can't imagine that happening. I hope they catch the low life that took your stuff. Nothing worse than a thief. That has got to hurt and let's hope they catch these guys and you get your stuff back. TJ
