Happy Birthday Jason. A fish fry sounds like the perfect birthday to me. I hope you didn't have to do the cooking. TJ

I've seen him in a few articles and never got the honor of meeting him. Life is shorter than you know. Sounds like someone I would have wanted to sit and talk to. My deepest condolences to family and friends. TJ

This is a very good deal for someone who doesn't want to haul all the camping gear and the trouble of putting it up and taking it down. Don't get me wrong, I love camping but once in a while it's nice to just turn key and relax. TJ

Howdy Nate, I was talking with Jeff this evening and just realized who you were. My apology for not remembering we met at Jeff's house earlier this year. I certainly didn't put 2 and 2 together. Congratulations again on a nice gobbler and once again on your new turkey hunter. One good lookin family sir. TJ

I hear where you are coming from azbugler. Good luck on your hunt this year. Can't wait to hear how your hunt goes. TJ

I have to agree with what you said about the rut hunts azbugler but Kop never mentioned anything about wanting to hunt the rut hunts. If indeed that is his intention then he should heed your advise. If he just wants a chance, like he said not being a trophy hunter, to chase 250"-300" bulls then I'm one of those who can look him straight in the face and say AZ is the best choice of doing so every year in November. November is a much harder hunt but Kop said he had the time to scout year long and that is the key to being successful. Azbugler, I agree with most of what you said but there are those, including myself, who draw every year. Just saying! TJ

If a drone flies over me while I'm hunting it will definitely be self defense. Just saying! TJ

First off welcome to the site. You will find a lot of helpful information here. A few things you pointed out where your wife would like to relocate to a warmer place, you are not a trophy hunter, you want an opportunity at a 250"-300" bull every year, you have the time for year round scouting, you prefer archery, and you want plenty of public land to hunt. BINGO! I'm not familiar with NM but I can tell you first hand Arizona has everything you are looking for. I believe we have the most public hunting land anywhere and your chances of drawing an archery elk tag every year is almost a sure thing. Good luck in your decision making. TJ

Congratulations Adam. Can't wait to see more pictures. TJ -
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who wants to get there foot in the door for what may be better things to come from Discount. My wife and I personally shop here for our tires because of Connor, aka deserthntr, who has treated us with the upmost respect. I guarantee you won't be treated any better so if you have a son your daughter who wants to work with Connor I give my endorsement for what it's worth. TJ

I just bought a 2016 3500 Chevy Z71 and have an adapter that slides in to my receiver making it a 2" receiver. It is extremely loose with amazing amount of play. My last truck was the same way. Is this common with Dodge and Fords as well? If so,what have you guys done to correct the problem? I thought about shimming it but thought I would get some of your ideas first. Why do they make such a big receiver that has to have an adapter? Thanks! TJ

AZGFD Bust The Tonto Basin Charity Ride Cancer Benefit
tjhunt2 replied to tjhunt2's topic in The Campfire
I believe you are right 4Falls. I find it ironic that the Payson Roundup's article never mentioned the Gila County Sheriff's Office or the Tonto National Forest Office. It was indeed the sheriff's department doing the stopping with the other two departments assisting. Is it fair the Payson Roundup target the game and fish and spare the Sheriff's Department along with the Tonto National Forest Service? Just saying! Anytime there is a Charity run, walk, ride or event here in the valley there is a present of law enforcement to assist so why would this be any different. Swevilhead.........I agree, all three agencies had the opportunity to make a positive influence on the event instead of flexing their muscle. My humble opinion. TJ
