What a beautifull bull. That is one to be very proud of. Thanks for sharing. TJ

One more thing that I would like to mention is buying a moving blanket from Harbor Freight. They are black on one side and gray on the othe side. They keep the dust down and make for an excellent no noise facter. I wouldn't be without it. TJ

Brian, thanks for the update. This time last year I was fishing SanCarlos and catching crappie. What did you catch the bass on at Apache? The ones I saw caught at Apache in Jan. were like you said, "footballs". Can't wait to hit the water! TJ

Most of the lakes are slow right now due to the turbidity, dirty water, if you don't know what turbidity means. Some fish are being caught out of Saguaro Lake trolling deep dive crank baits in the chartreuse color. With all the nutrition coming into Rosy, due to the rains, the spawn should be great this year for crappie and bass. I think this will be th best year in a long time. Get your fishing poles ready. TJ

I do most of my hunting from a ground blind and have had the same problem. I've used just about everything. I do alot of sleeping in my blind and a good comfortable chair with arm rest can't be beat. Double Bull makes a three legged chair that is pretty good. I'm not a fan of 3 legged chairs but double bull's are the best I've found. I've set all day in one and they are great to shoot out of but not the best to be really comfortable. My take is to get a chair you can comfortable sleep in and shoot out off with not much noise. I will not use a swivel chair. No need to use one in a ground blind. TJ

I asked my wife if she wanted me to buy a bunch of sweet things for valentines or what she actually wanted. She informed me she wanted me to take her fishing. So I took her to lunch yesterday and then took in a movie, the 4th movie I've been to in 34yrs of marrage, and then steak & labster on the grill. Now today I gave her what she wanted, to go fishing. We went to Saguaro Lake around 11am and it was white capped when we got there. After helping an old gentleman load his boat and getting wet up to my knees I finally got the wife in the water and went to park the truck. When I got back I couldn't fine her and after walking down the boat ramp there she was down the shore with the boat up against the rocks with a bad battery. After switching batteries we were on our way with water coming over the boat and getting wet. I said " Happy Valentine's Day" and gave her a kiss. The wind settled down around 3pm. I caught a blugill and 2 fish in the slot, 1 under, and we were about to call it day after the sun went down when Peg caught a 17&1/4" bass and just made the day. Here are a couple pictures. Only one of these fish is in the slot. our three fish of the day filets for super

Brent, take a look in the fish picture. It's a deep dive plug. I don't buy the expensive ones like rapala even though they are good. Usually less than 3 bucks. I'll let you know when the fish turn on at Rosy. Can't really go by the g$f reports cause the bait dealers are always telling them it's good just to sell more stuff. TJ

First Chiricahua whitetail buck
tjhunt2 replied to Couestracker's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Congratulations on your buck. I'm sure your Father and Grandfather were looking down from above and was with you every step of your hunt. Your story was really good and sounds like another memory to add to all the other great memories of the Charicahua Mountains. Thanks for sharing. TJ -
Thanks Jim for the update. I knew the book was close to coming out. I looked in cwt.com store and didn't see it there. Where did you pick up your copy? Thanks! TJ

Hope this day is a good one and have a great Happy Birthday. TJ

Them are some good pictures and thanks for sharing. Your son looks like a natural. Fishing will pick up as soon as the water clears alittle more. Keep us posted on his next fishing trip as well. TJ

That's what Peg said while I was cleaning the fish and we had the camera with us. I can't recall how many times I've done that. I also got a pm from a cwt member who said I posted I had caught 2 fish in the slot and didn't want to have another (g&f knocking on my door post). I thanked him and did clear that up in my post. Glad to see you made it home safely from your Utah trip.

I have a 2000 12ft porta-boat that is in very good shape with a 2002 4hp4stroke yamaha which is in excellent condition with less than 20hrs. In addition to that I have a 3hp minn kota elctric motor for the electric only lakes. I have taken very good care of these and have many extras to go along with the package. Only needs a new owner and lake ready. Here are the

Someone needs to buy this bow at this price. I'm short on cash and trying to sell somethings of my own or this would be sold. Just look at what all goes with this bow. The two cases would go over $100 so you're getting the bow for $100. HOLY COW! TJ

I sit here tonight second guessing my decission on which hunt I need to put my wife in for, I always put in on the last day of the application deadline, and sad to say that my Dad finally told me tonight he is not going to put in for any hunts except the turkey hunts from now on. He saids he's just getting tired. I guess you could say I'm taking it harder than anyone and feel like part of me has lost an elk partner that has always been there throughout my elk hunts and just can't bare to except it. We have had some great hunts and good times together over the years and I can say that I will miss his willingness to get up in the mornings and face the morning cold even at 80 years old. I only hope I can be half the man he has been over the years as my hunting partner and my best friend. He has informed me that he still wants to hunt turkeys and be camp cook so all is not lost. I will ever be thankful towards my Dad for my up bringing and all the fishing and hunting trips he endured with me. I'm sure there are many of you that feel the same way towards a friend or loved one. I guess you could say this is a tribute towards my Dad that I love very much. Thanks Dad! This is dad with his 09 coues deer. TJ
